Several sources familiar with the ongoing investigation tell WTOP fire and police investigators believe the radiator in Turton's 2008 BMW X5 was punctured when it rolled into a workbench. The halogen headlights, which emit a bluish light and illuminate the road better than conventional headlights, stayed on after the radiator was punctured.

"What they have been trying to determine is the cause of death."

Sounds like they're having enough trouble determining the cause of the fire.

This is total Barbara Streisand and doesn't stand up to the slightest bit of analysis. Let's look at the "evidence" and claims made so far.

The husband claims (and he should certinaly know) that his wife was LEAVING the house that morning.
The fire was allegedly cause by antifreeze being ignited by the HID headlights
the antifreeze was released by the radiator being punctured by the vehicle crashing into a workbench

These simple things are absolutely impossible to happen in the way they are stating, and here is why:
1) Radiators are not pressurized like an aerosol can is. They come to be pressurized by thermal expansion as the coolant absorbs engine heat and expands.
2) If she was LEAVING for work that morning at 5:00 AM, the coolant would not be warm yet so no expansion would occur. A leak of any size would cause the coolant to simply drip to the floor, and not be atomized.
3) Absent atomization, the coolant would have a MUCH higher flash point.
4) Similar to the coolant, the headlights would not reach their full oprating temperature for a period of time after they were turned on. Anything less than full operating temperatures would severly limit their ability to cause anything to get to it's flash point, even gasoline
5) Headlights are physically shielded from the radiator. It would take quite a lot of atomization to create a cloud large enough to even reach the headlights.
6) The headlight bulbs are further removed physically by thier plastic housings. In order for the atomized vapors to reach the bulb itself, the housings would have to be breached. Anything less than a complete breach would limit the amount of vapor that could get to the bulb.
7) A bulb that is in the warm-up phase would generate positive thermal expansion itself, with the surrounding air expanding away from the heat source.

The above alone eliminates the possibility of this occuring as claimed. When you add the other factors (husband not concerned about her being in the car, radiator punctured while exiting the garage, no air bag deployment in a crash strong enough to compromise the radiator and the headlight housings), to accept the explanation provided you must suspend all logic.

I would normally not give a news story like the fire and her death a second thought, but when the investigators attempt to fed us this line of BS my radar goes up and I become suspicious.

Why was BATF involved?
Why wasn't the husband frantic when he saw her BMW was in the fire?
What sort of people/things was she recently involved in?
What is with the information that she was unconcious prior to the fire?
Why do the investigators state that there is no suspicion of foul play?

Color me extremely suspicious.

A murder was committed.

It's obvious to anyone with even half a brain.

The questions are who killed her?,and why?

I'd bet dirty money and politics are behind it all.Although spousal involvment is quite common in murders and "suspicious death" cases.

Another thing:never threaten anyone with releasing information in hopes of changing their behavior;just either release the info or hope they never find out you know. Because if killing you will stop the release, guess what is most likely to happen.Get the info out to as many as you can and take steps to protect yourself.

Check this report out for mention of the garage door involvement.

Thanks for keeping up with this case. I have focused on Jack Wheeler but try to do a search on Ashley Turton each day. I hope her death makes it back out to the mainstream.

Just like Jack Wheeler, Ashey Turton did not deserve to die in such a way only to be dropped down the memory hole. I might not like her politics, but she left 3 babies.

This photo makes sense (in terms of her backing out—ie., still conscious) from the garage. If you note the after fire photo, it appears that she would have had to swerve not only around the other (gold) car; but the wrought iron fencing. There is a curb to the left of the fence as well, so it appears that a hard left angle, in reverse, was needed to get onto the street. Also, did the Turton’s share the ‘right of way’ of the drive next door to them? Again, the fence on their property.

Yes, it is obvious. The who and why we may never know. They are already coming out with excuses, including the headlights.

The world is now upside down...right is wrong, black is white, left is right.

Regarding spousal involvement, doesn’t he work for barry? I don’t think we will ever know, until we bring barry down and all his commies.

Until then, we’re screwed.

I concur, the ‘diabetic’ idea would have been floated initially. And would have been easy to prove/disprove from toxicology/bloodwork. By this time, something like an aneurysm or stroke would also be known.

If the fire was a mechanical malfunction, she would have to be completely incapacitated to not be able to exit the vehicle.

Rosie O' says, everybody knows head lights won't burn, no matter how hot the fire.

LOL!

"'The leading theory is accidental [that] the car crashed through the garage doors and... was found on fire in the garage area', Mr Pringer said."

If the back of the car crashed into the garage doors, wouldn't there be some kind of damage? The pics available don't even show a scratch to the back of the car, nor the "crashed garage door".

And why, if the back of the car crashed into the garage door was the fire concentrated to just the front....with NO damage to the back?

Yes, the million dollar question. If the front of the car was on fire, why didn’t she try to escape through the back (which was untouched by any damage).

Most persons reactions would be “how the heck do I save myself, fight or flight” (especially since she had 3 little babies).

Only conclusion I can come up with is that she was unconscious, or dead before the fire started.

Those are reasoned questions. I don’t know enough about the case to post a good response.

Did she forget something, or feel the need to return home after having left?

I honestly don’t know.

The whole thing sound quirky doesn’t it.

I wonder if she had a Hoover canister vacuum. I just heard they are being recalled due to potential shock and fire problems. Soooo, she could have been shocked into unconciousness by the vacuum and then it exploded...

Another photo of the garage. *Dead body found of lobbyist at heart of Duke/Progress Energy merger

Comparing to this image, I don't understand why the vehicle doesn't show more damage. The bricks in pavement outside the garage shown above are blackened.Ashley Turton, wife of White House aide found dead in burned car

Quirky doesn't even cut it. I personally believe this was a premeditated murder.

Damn shame no one thought of the 3 babies left behind without their mother.

Evil seems to be ruling this world more and more.

but I’m figuring that vapor fumes from the center fuel tank spontaneously exploded

..but only after they decided it was not a vapor trail from a rocket but a plane accelerating very fast leaving a smoke trail that no air traffic control center noticed
