At the heart of the complaint to the court is the suspicion that Obama has engaged in Social Security fraud by using a number initially issued to another person.

The IRS and Social Security can't catch illegals and rarely turn over cases of fraud to federal law enforcement but regularly target taxpayers for discrepancies......unless they have a (D) and are holding or running for office.

Everything that's known can bring this clown down. Everything that's unproven or undisclosed disqualifies him. 27 states now have Republican administrations (elections officers, Lt. Governors and State's Attorney Generals. It's a hope that a review will be forthcoming and let's hope that obama won't be on their ballots.

For the record, the current Administrator of the Social Security Administration is a Republican who was nominated in 2007 for a six year term by President George W. Bush.

Thanks for the input....but the point was that SSA has no enforcement powers; they're just pencil pushers. They can turn over information to the IRS or other federal LEOs for investigation and legal action against those suspected of fraud. They rarely do and here we are.

That the president has a SS# from man born in 1890 escapes them and isn't reported as remarkable....but we're living in digital age now and it's just a number, slipping through the system.

143. Fraud In Connection With Benefit Claims And Earnings Records
143.1 When can you be prosecuted for Social Security fraud?
You may be prosecuted as a criminal for fraud if you knowingly:

A. Furnish false information as to your identity in connection with the establishment and maintenance of Social Security records;

B. For the purpose of increasing your payment under Social Security or any other Federally funded program; or for the purpose of obtaining such payment:

1. Use a Social Security number obtained on the basis of false information; or

2. Falsely represent a number to be your Social Security number;

C. Make or cause to be made a false statement or misrepresentation of a material fact for use in determining your rights to Social Security or SSI benefits;

D. Make or cause to be made any false statement or representation as to:

1. Whether wages were paid to you, the period during which wages were paid, or the amount of your wages; or

2. Whether you have net earnings from self-employment, the amount of your earnings, or the period during which you earned the money;

E. Conceal or fail to report any event affecting the initial or continued right to payment received or to be received by you personally or on behalf of another; or

F. Use payment received on behalf of another for any purpose other than the use for the benefit of that person.

Other penal provisions contained in the Social Security Act or in the Federal Criminal Code may also apply to offenses affecting the Social Security program.

We will prosecute even if a fraudulent act is discovered before wrongful payments are made by the Government.

143.2 What is the penalty for conviction?
The penalty upon conviction for violation of the penal provisions of the Social Security Act, or one of the related provisions of the Federal Criminal Code may be a fine, imprisonment, or both. The penalty ranges from a fine of not more than $500, imprisonment of one year, or both, to a fine of not more than $10,000, imprisonment of not more than 15 years, or both. The penalty depends upon the specific law violated.

Evidence of Social Security fraud can be turned over to a prosecutor for investigation by a Grand Jury. If the evidence warrants, an indictment can be issued and the indictment alone would form the basis of an impeachable offense as a high crime or misdemeanor.

Looks like a sophisticated phishing site to me, they take your Social Scurity number and personal information and store it , ubless yuo “Opt Out”. And then there is no guarantee?

Rule 1: Never give your Social Security number to anyone on the web, only for use with government filings, period.I refuse to give it to my health insurer, and they raise hell about it every year.I also refuse to give it to many government agencies who do not really need it for thier purposes. The IRS is one who gets it, along with the Dept. of State (passport), and SS Administration,and my bank.Thats it.Most government and private industry data bases are unsafe, over the long term, they have portable data bases which are not secure, nor are they circumscribed by law in releasing it. One of he worst things you can do is give it to a credit agency without going through a bank.

Had an Insurance (auto) Company that canceled my coverage because I wouldn’t give them my SSN (they had it already), I just wouldn’t give it to them on the phone.

No biggie, got a better deal with another Company and they never even asked me for an SSN, just DL #.

The Social Security Administration is well aware of duplicate SSNs and WHO uses them; they most likely keep ghost books on the money paid in by each fake member. In other words, they KNOW whose number has been hacked, who and how many others are using it, and they keep account of it.

Why do they do this? Why don't they pull the plug when they do a simple address match or employer match? Simple, they want the money - the 'payroll taxes'. It's just that simple.

Anyone here who doesn't think its a simple programming problem to ferret out these account numbers and then sort and keep track is living in a dream world. The existence of this capability is never discussed or even mentioned. This entire government is corrupt to the core.

No good can come of giving your SS to a health insurance company. If they have it, there is an automatic way for them to check to see if you have bought “Death Care.”The IRS and the health insurance companies will link up in 2014.
The IRS is the enforcement agency for Death Care.

At some point , many folks may soon want to cancel their SS registration, if Death Care is not repealed or disenfranchised somehow.They will then simply leave the country. Many had planned on it as soon as Death Care became law.
