I know that many of you are still celebrating the birthday of the greatest American who ever lived, Ronald Reagan. But this year also marks another important anniversary. Nancy, the woman who was with Reagan from the very begining of his political career, is also having a birthday of her own. She is turning 90 on July 6, 2011. Isn't it great that the Gipper and his wife are celebrating major anniversaries this year?
Nancy was with Ronnie when he left the Democratic Party and became a Republican. She stood by his side after the great speech for Goldwater in 1964, and when he was sworn in as Governor of California in 1967. She was with him when he took a bullet in 1981, and took care of him in his last days, when he was ailing in the years 1994-2004. She was married to Ronnie for 52 years. She too, deserves a party as big as that which was planned for Ronnie, on July 6.
I know she misses him. I know Ronnie will receive her when it is her turn to go Home.
I am waiting for the libs to start screaming that Ronald Reagan was a “cradle-robber”.
Is she a breast cancer survivor?
I believe so, Betty Ford too, who will be 93 this year.
A remarkable couple. She knew and believed in her wedding vows, but it is too bad the sweet woman gave birth to an alien they named Ron Reagan, Jr.
Why is it that both of their children are liberals?
“I believe so, Betty Ford too, who will be 93 this year.”
Wow! That early detection really works.
*the greatest American who ever lived, Ronald Reagan*
Um, no.
I know she and I would probably would not see eye to eye on politics, but she was and is a great lady.
I don’t care much for some of her more recent political utterances, but she was one-half of one of the greatest teams of the 20th century.
Here’s for many more years, Nancy.
Who knows? Michael and Maureen, from President Reagan’s first marriage were not liberal. Maybe the other two felt they did not get enough attention and rebelled...forever.
It's too bad that people continue to make the foolish mistake of calling Ronald Prescott Reagan, Ron Reagan, Jr.
Whatever...
It’s also too bad people cannot hold a conversation, but feel obligated to be snarky.
Odd that he has the same middle name as a Bush—George (Jorge) Prescott Bush.
