What will the Election Season 2012 look like? AND what will Inaugural 2013 look like?
I certainly hope you are right. If the Tea Party is able to hold together, they might be able to stop Romney in key primaries. However, the media will be behind Romney. Real conservative candidates are being marginalized well ahead of the game.
People said the same thing about McCain not being the nominee. Then when McCain became the nominee, I saw FR posts saying that Republicans would carry Pennsylvania, and I could take that to the bank.
I’m very happy that Republicans were able to win back the House, but I saw people last fall saying we were going to take the Senate, that Harry Reid was going down, and I could take that to the bank. I’m not saying you made those predictions, but predictions based on heart-felt, sincere desires do not always square with reality.
I appreciate your courage and your faith, but Romney has the money and the media, and, outside the confines of FR, he’s going to play pretty well. I will do what I can to stop it, but I will not be at all surprised if we can’t.
Obama will be the next president of the United Nations.
The ones who are led astray are those who vote (R), REGARDLESS of who the (R) is, or what they stand for. Establishment RINOS who are hand-picked and promoted for the purpose of gaining the dumb Repulican-or-else voters are what keeps us from having a Conservative choice.
Voting (R) means only you vote for the "CHOSEN" candidate of the money-people AND/OR the State-Run-Media propoganda poster-boy (or girl).
I'll vote for the Conservative choice, regardless of Party from now on.
I hear you, I do.
I’d rather have conservative candidates coming out of the “GOP” than just a new-named third party. That led to Clinton.
However, I won’t ever cast a vote for anyone Romney like or who I do not believe has any appeal beyond hardcore political junkies- like Barbour, or Jindal, etc.
Sorry to say it, if we want a true conservative out of the GOP to win in a general, they will need to be from the North, a big city (NYC, etc) , younger and handsome, unflinching in his support for conservative views with a bit of a tude about it.
That is the type of personality that the masses can follow and actually vote for a new party for.
Someone with just as much clout, who runs in the same geographic location (but not the same circles), has had more and/or self made success, and is just as “sly” with the wordplay as most libs.
Anything else, for this election and subsequent ones, will be a loser, until/if we get our own nation state.
We never have candidates like that, the closest being a Rudy, but he is not nearly conservative enough on social issues to even get the whole conservative base behind him.
I think you are like 10 threads late for this topic.
And we have no idea of who is even running yet.
I like Congressman Weiner and his wife Huma Weiner
Who’s winning?
Rabs is out to sandbag the GOP in general.
Can you imagine all the rebuttals NoBama would have in a debate once Romney criticizes Obamacare?
Uh, pinhead, I am as anti-Romney as anyone. But I don’t let a third-party Paulard troll like Rabs try to sandbag the GOP without calling him on it.
In spite of what you say I believe Romney has no chance. He will get beaten early and often in the primary. RomneyCare is the albatross around his neck.
Obama will not be the Dem nominee.
I agree. Dems will vote in the republican primary so that Romney gets the nomination.
What do you base this on. Who will be the Dem Nom?
All I know is it won’t be Romney because he couldn’t take out old man McCain last time and the sacred underwear could be a problem.
Michael Reagan will run and his running mate will be George Bush (Jeb’s son).
