I certainly hope you are right. If the Tea Party is able to hold together, they might be able to stop Romney in key primaries. However, the media will be behind Romney. Real conservative candidates are being marginalized well ahead of the game.
People said the same thing about McCain not being the nominee. Then when McCain became the nominee, I saw FR posts saying that Republicans would carry Pennsylvania, and I could take that to the bank.
I’m very happy that Republicans were able to win back the House, but I saw people last fall saying we were going to take the Senate, that Harry Reid was going down, and I could take that to the bank. I’m not saying you made those predictions, but predictions based on heart-felt, sincere desires do not always square with reality.
I appreciate your courage and your faith, but Romney has the money and the media, and, outside the confines of FR, he’s going to play pretty well. I will do what I can to stop it, but I will not be at all surprised if we can’t.
In spite of what you say I believe Romney has no chance. He will get beaten early and often in the primary. RomneyCare is the albatross around his neck.
“outside the confines of FR, hes going to play pretty well. I will do what I can to stop it, but I will not be at all surprised if we cant.”
Okay let me get this straight. You admit that except on FR the Romney polls well which makes him a viable candidate to run against and beat O’Bama. But then you say you will do everything you can to stop him from winning. So in essence you are saying you would rather have O’Bama win again than have Romney win and come in with what would probably be large GOP majorities. Romney is not my first choice as candidate, but if it comes down to him our Barry it is a no brainer who I vote for. You wage your battles in the primaries and then go to war with who wins the nomination. To do otherwise dooms you to defeat and second tier status forever. This isn’t Madden 2012 Politics edition we are talking about here. it’s real life.
