~ Today...Cloudy with rain showers likely in the morning...Then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 50s. Southwest winds around 5 mph...Increasing to west 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 60 percent.

~ Tonight...Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 20s. West winds around 15 mph.

The Austin temp bar shows 21º, but the news just said 17º.
I think this is the first time we have been colder than Ma in Alaska,

Considering it is overcast in all of the East coast I don’t see how he can see his shadow (unless of course the cameras aid him it).

We got the same down our way. I read we might even get sunshine later today. YES!

Just really strange weather, huh? Who would have thought that AK would have 31 degrees at 4:30 a.m in Feb? Ma is probably stressing over not enough snow. LOL

Good morning and ((HUGS)) EG. All is well. Getting ready to take the dreaded Code of Conduct briefing required by the Company.

How about you? Warmed up yet?

Well, it's going OK. We made it through the blizzard without losing power. Some places around OKC, Ada, Ardmore, Tulsa and Wichita Falls Texas did lose power during the storm.

There were also a number of people stranded in Tulsa. They had to call out the National Guard.

It's not forecast to warm up much for awhile. There is still some snow and ice on the road right now.

Most all schools in Oklahoma and North Texas have cancelled classes again today due to the suckish nature of the roads from this winter storm.

Hopefully, the sun will come out and melt out much of this snow.

How are you faring up there in Chicago with your ongoing blizzard, Tomkow6?

It is really cold here. A couple of power plants went off line in Texas and we have forced rolling blackouts here.

The weather forecast is saying we may get snow later this week, so that will add to our woes.

Had to rely on the "tertiary" method this morning.
The bus stop is under the elevated train tracks. I couldn't see a bus in the distance, and the only thing worse than a crowded morning bus is a crowded morning bus with dripping umbrellas. (Plus I had a coffee in my hands.)
Went upstairs and took the train, which is a little longer because I have to go to Coney Island and catch another train back.

Glad I had a dry pair of sneakers waiting for me at school (and I had the foresight to pack an extra pair of socks).

It's 12..count them...12 degrees here this morning!!
Light snow falling with a bitter wind.
Did I wake up in Minnesota or Alaska??
