In this instance, you’re not ignoring history. This wasn’t taught to you. The media isn’t going to explain it with a Western slant, and your teachers weren’t getting their marching orders from our sage defense strategists either.
THAT, is the real reason forums like this are important. People raise ideas and others are able to explain why they may be problematic. In this instance, it’s vital that today’s populace understand how vile things in the Middle-East could get, if the Iran model is played out in a number of nations.
We could be witnessing these nations sinking back into the Dark Ages. Only this time, their magic can be extended outside their borders in ways they never could back then.

Allah is not God. All Islam offers is Sharia Law. Very different from a God centered Republic.
You are right that the best they could hope to achieve is a Parliamentary form of government. I believe this will turn out to be much like Iran in that it will become another Sharia State. Which of course will not solve their problems, but the people will be kept in line by violence and fear just like any dictatorship.
They don’t have a clue. His next speech will either be from wherever his family went or from his grave.
May God protect the many American soldiers and citizens in the Middle East during this uncertain time. They need and deserve our prayers.
Not having experience in such things will wind up in a disaster. MaObama is a clear example of what that means.

The Bolsheviks let the Mensheviks do the dirty work of deposing the Czar, before stepping in and taking control. Same applies here. The MB is letting those who are protesting for freedom do their dirty work, until they take over. The only alternative to an MB takeover is civil war. Ugly no matter how you look at it.
It's pro-Democracy, in the sense that democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what's for lunch. The Islamists being the wolves in this case.
