"I couldn't even speak. I broke down crying because there was a loaded gun in my hands, and I don't know where it came from."Oh fer Chrissake! If she's not trolling for a lawsuit (high probabililty) she's too skitzy to be out in public.

"Officers say they have seized the gun and are treating it as a "found property" case." I would have handled it the same way ;-)

If she had found an I-Pad she would have done her best to return it to its owner. No reason to treat this any differently.

I found a Hertz doughnut in a rental car once. Then my brother started crying after inquiring about it.

Not good to have 2 & 3 year old kids with access to a loaded firearm. However if she had to “yank and yank” to get the gun from under the seat it doesn’t appear its a cleaning problem. How the heck should Hertz be expected to find that.
I might rent from hertz next time. Might save me some dough.

Hoplophobia can be treated, like many phobias. She should resolve this life problem.

Please, lady, calm down for heaven’s sake. Obviously this woman is a total believer that guns kill people. Yep, they get up walk around and kill people!
No doubt this woman was on her way to the PayDay loan store but instead will now swing by the local ambulance chaser lawyer’s office where she’ll collect a much better return.

"A lot of lives could have been ruined," said Gonzalez. "Mine! My kids! Lives could have been taken!" Yes, loaded guns in rental cars are known to drive around neighborhoods shooting people.
Much like how accidents involving SUVs are usually the fault of the SUV... maybe driven by a loaded gun...
