One freshman House Republican is unhappy with Rep. Michele Bachmann's (R-Minn.) decision to give her own response to President Obama's State of the Union address.
Rep. Joe Walsh (Ill.) who rode a wave of Tea Party support into Congress said that Bachmann's speech was a "distraction" that gave the media fodder to speculate about division within the Republican Party.
"I mean, there is no more Tea Party freshman on the planet than myself, but I'll be the first to say, respectfully, Michele had no business making that speech last night," Walsh said Wednesday, according to Chicago radio station WLS.

She seems to be getting set to run for president — nobody has any business telling Bachmann to keep quiet!
I saw this guy on Greta, and I like his attitude. This is the guy the forewent Senate health care perks despite his wife’s health issues. He’s got a great attitude about civil service.
Joe, that said, YOUR WRONG!
Walsh, you’re having a STFU moment....
smell that?
smells like a baby rhino
Wrong, Joe.
You’ve got the right agenda, but you haven’t gotten a sense for the fight-to-the-death tenacity needed to overcome the endless negativity you’re going to get from the mainstream press.
Take them on head-on.
Look these demons in the eye.
Stare them down.
Call their bluff.
Then crush them and rip them to shreds with common sense and bare metal conservativism.
Don’t be afraid of these pantywaist, bedwetting, hand-wringing Leftist thugs.
Slam into them!
Tackle them!
Bring them down!
It’s okay if you get a little bloody and a little dirty.
What’s important is to leave them a lot bloodier and dirtier.
A very short time in Washington, and already Joe Walsh has been sucked into the cauldron.
They started it by not giving her a leadership position. She drove the wedge deeper but she was more forceful than Ryan and went further.
If we end up with four parties in 2012 that will be a circus like we have never seen before. But the antagonisms that started during the campaign have not gone away. All these people are strong personalities who have trouble overcoming personal grudges.
These poor stupid people can’t get through their head; we are at war with the left. WAR!.
“Distraction and division” is a media-created narrative designed to keep everyone’s eyes off the ball.
Unfortunate that he fell for the diversion.
Had nothing to do with “personal grudges.”
You will understand this when you think about the fact that Bachmann was simply doing what she’s been doing all along.
Bachmann’s post SOTU speech was exactly what would be expected from a member of Congress who has been fighting for our liberties under the Constitution.
Frankly, I believe we don’t need either the State of the Union Speech or the response speeches.
Do you have any experience in politics?
Boehner’s response was appropriate: “Well, I think all members of the House and the Senate responded to the speech in many forms,” he said. “The more, the merrier.”
All Walsh did was give more fodder to the media.
What the Matter Putz ,Jealous? She was right on the mark.
We need More Of Michelle Bachman and Less of the Panty waist cowards in the Republican Party
He’s stuck on stupid. Its YOU that is creating the division, not Bachmann. She were merely attacking Obama, you are attacking another member of your own party
Would it be correct to state that Joe Walsh is attempting to ride on the coattails of Rep.Bachmann in some weird attempt to get ‘spin’ & ‘buzz’ and name recognition... or do you think it more likely that he’s prolly a victim of some type of blackmail and he was ordered to spout such insipid drivel on national TV????
Mr. Walsh, I have no idea who you are. Maybe because you're not speaking out like Michelle is?
A couple years ago, Bachmann came out and said she thinks there are anti-American members of Congress.
This told me she was a rare example of a politician who will speak the truth—even at great political risk—simply because it needs to be spoken.
Politics in Washington is about as complicated as a stinking, rotting carcass. The stench is corroding our liberties.
Anyone opposing Bachmann’s speech opposes the Constitution.
Who the hell is he to be lecturing Bachman?
This guy sounds like a legend in his won mind.
