HONOLULU (AP) -- Five Hawaii Democratic representatives want to pass a law making President Barack Obama's birth records public and charge $100 to see them.

I read that Kapiolani has made the definitive statement that they have NO records of his birth there.
NOW—the real question is, as always, how many OTHER people born at that hospital are in the same situation? I would hazard a guess: virtually NONE.
So how is it that the currently most HIGH-PROFILE man in the world could be in a situation as regards his birth records as unique as his current job status?
As far as the much-vaunted “birth announcement” in the local papers, THAT has already been thoroughly debunked as being meaningless: ANYONE born ANYWHERE could send in a birth announcement, regardless of the place of birth, and have it published. If, as I remember, there WERE some announcements which DID mention that hospital as being the one Obama was born at, then the real cover-up would be NOT that he wasn’t born in Hawaii, but some other bits of information documented in the Long Form BC that are incriminating, and would disqualify Obama from fulfilling the requirements of being the American President.
DontTreadOnMe2009 ~ I also read there was a limit of 30 days for a visit ;
and he stayed longer.
Not saying this is what happened, but it was also very popular for young muslim men to go to POK-e-stan, slip across the border to Afghanistan and wage jihad against the Soviets as kind of a summer vacation thang.
That's the reading I was getting after the SOTU address. When a mixed group was being asked about their reaction to the speech, quite of few of them expressed distrust. Basically, it didn't matter what he said, because he didn't deliver on what he'd promised in his campaign and they didn't believe he'd deliver on anything he promised now. He's lost a lot of good will and credibility, and I'm seeing more and more people speaking up about it and making him the butt of jokes.
Agreed. Stock market may be helping some, as is relatively stable (though high) unemployment. Some people really think his policies are right, unfortunately.
If he had nothing to hide, absolutely. Wouldn't you end all privacy claims to your official records to put silly matters behind you if you were president?
Exactly. It would stop the specualtion. A requirement is that he is a natural born citizen. Thus, anyone running for president should release this. We know President B. H. Obama has told lots of lies. Why should we take his word on this?
At $100 per peek, they will make enough money to PAY OFF THE NATIONAL DEBT!

During the 1960s I personally witnessed several new Mommies coming in to ship their cars back to Hawaii (via Matson Lines http://www.Matson.com ) shortly after their giving birth elsewhere, inside or outside the Mainland United States.
These new Mommies were told by other Mommies present to just go to the Honolulu Officals and proclaim that their newborns were born in Hawaii and a Birth Certificate showing so would be automatically produced.
It was THAT commonplace ..and well known about by many.. back then..!!!
This was during a 9-10 year window after Hawaiian Statehood when they could get away with it.

Also, Barack Obama was born during the very time period that the American People really fell in love with JFK on TV during his extraordinary televised live Presidential News Conferences. Greatly inspiring new Mommies and Daddies to groom their new offspring to be President of the United States someday.
Very, very common during the year 1961.
I know, I was there.

As to curiousity, LorenC, I honestly do not know if you two are "clockers" or not. I do hope you are paying paid for your efforts, otherwise what justifies your taking up the cause of a fraud and a con.
But you two, and a few others seems to making the same kind of con's claim Obama now makes about ObamaCare -- that the time for arguing is past. That's a con's style: "I've already won, you have to accept the results." It's certainly Obama's style.
The time for arguing the meaning of "Natural Born Citizen" is not past, nor within that argument the claim that the lack of US citizenship of Obama's Dad means that Obama is ineligible to hold the Office of President, US. Yet that seems to be the gist of recent efforts on the part of a cohort of whom you two are major participants.
It is a valid current claim, it was a valid claim in the past during the time Obama was running in the Primary, and in the long past when it was expressed as the need for BOTH parents to be citizens to be eligible for President.
Like Obama asserts in re ObamaCare now you two assert that the time for this discussion is past and has passed. Do I have that right?
I can't speak for Loren, but for myself, no. There never was a time for the discussion of Obama's father's citizenship because it was always commonly understood that the citizenship of the father, provided he isn't a diplomat or invader, is irrelevant in cases where a person is born in the USA. This idea that one needs to have a US citizen father if born in the USA was simply made up by some birthers in November of 2008.
In contrast, the worst aspects Obamacare have yet to take effect. The law was jammed through over and above the objections of the American public. There is still time to repeal it, and hence the time for debate is now!
Under Hawaiian law once public officials started making statements using obama’s records as proof, those records became public domain. Hawaiian records dept. is refusing to obey Hawaiian laws.

Then perhaps they aught to be tried for breakign hte law- I’m surprised lawyersw aren’t jumping all over this
actually, one parent has to be a legal citizen over trhe age of 18- This was a legal issue point brought up- but I haven’t heard much on it lately- niether parent was a legal citizen over 18 at the time from what I undertsand

Not to mention that it was done so unconstuitutionally- agaisnt the iwll of hte people- again, this makes it a legal case- hopefully the lawsuits will show that the govenrment acted ilelgally AGAINST the citizens
