After the pool spray with President Hu Jintao in the Oval Office, a cameraman asked President Obama If the Bears win, are you going to the Super Bowl?
Oh we're going, responded the President, no doubt.
On Sunday, the Chicago Bears will play the Green Bay Packers at Chicagos Soldier Field for the NFC Championship.
As a freshman senator in December 2006, with the political world wondering about his plans for 2008, Mr. Obama appeared in a mock-commercial during Monday Night Football in which he said, I'm here tonight to answer some questions about a very important contest that's been weighing on the minds of the American people. A contest about the future . . . a contest that will ultimately be decided in America's heartland. Tonight, I'd like to put all the doubts to rest. I'd like to announce to my hometown of Chicago and all of America that I am ready" ---- at this point he donned a Bears baseball cap -- "for the Bears to go all the way, baby!

Just ask Vick.........
Too bad the Steelers will be watching from at home this year after tehy get beat by the .....
J — E — T — S...Jets, Jets, Jets!
I live about 15 miles from Cowboys Stadium and I can assure you that the traffic problems here in the DFW area are expected to be horrendous for many days prior to the Super Bowl and the day of the game. Many roads are already closed and are being converted to one-way to improve traffic flow during the period. .....We do NOT welcome BHO to visit this area of Texas and we certainly don’t need the further hassle of his convoy of SUVs with all of the heightened security BS! .....The stadium’s owner, Jerry Jones, better not cave in and offer BHO one of the luxury suites. Folks have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for those suites and their priviledges and would not appreciate being booted for slime ball Barack. Jerry might catch more hell for allowing Barack to share his suite than he has endured for decades because he let Landry go.
Guess I’ll have to pull for the Packers (who I strongly dislike), just to lessen the chance that Barack would come to the game here. ...Packers vs. Jets might be a good game!
go Packers!!! and Jets... I couldn’t stand Rooney thanking Obama again.
As for my Steelers... I don't know, could go either way. But I think I'll give the nod to the Steelers just because when the Jets won in week 15, they did it with a few breaks. Hey, that's not so say they won't get a few things going their way this weekend too but... Not many teams can go 2-0 against the Steelers in the same season, they learn from their mistakes. I don't think the Jets have it in them. Of course, if the Steelers can't get their O-line healthy...
I don't think it matters, 'cause I think the Packers are probably going to win it all. I don't know if the Steelers' secondary can stand up to the passing game and all the targets Rodgers has. They can probably shut down Starkes' running game, but he could keep the linebackers honest, and that means trouble in the medium-long distance... We'll see, one week, one game at a time...
So long as he isn’t there for this weekend’s Superbowl. GO BEARS!
“Our Father, who is Art Rooney
Hallowed be Thy Game
Thy touchdowns come, Thy Super Bowls be won
In Dallas as they are in Heinz Field.
Give us this day ring number seven
And forgive us our penalties
As we try to forgive those who root against us.
And lead us not into lost yardage
But deliver us from turnovers
A-Ben”
This is more like it for the Steelers :
“Our silly team, playing in a city where they haven’t made much steel since the 70s,
Made the game less hallowed.
Our games are fixed, we like to turn tricks,
On that dump of a field in Pittsburgh
We illegitimately have four of six rings
Since the refs like to trespass against our opponents or the first to do steroids in the 70s.
And we assure you that we’ll try to steal another.
Just like we did in Super Bowl 40.
A-rapist
On a side note, if the Bears show up in the SB and Dear Leader takes another taxpayer mini-vacation, I promise you the Bears will win. That game will make SB XL look like it was fairly moderated. The NFL is a total joke anymore. I loved that game from the 70s up until the early 00s ... it’s nothing but glorified studio wrestling anymore.
And I will now remove my tinfoil hat :-).
I’ve just become a Packers fan......for three weeks......Go Cowboys!........
I am rooting for the team that has owners that won’t be gushing all over Zero. Would that be the Packers? Certainly not the Steelers after their last lovefest.
GO PACKERS!
Can’t get on the Steelers bandwagon, thanks to Ben R (R for Rapist)......
I’ve been having at least ONE ‘Silent Scream’ a day for the past 2+ years!!
My threshold is far worse than that......
:-)
Go Packers!
LOL!
GO PACK GO!!!
Like the wuss really follows football.
