An abortion doctor has been arrested and charged with the murder of a patient and seven live infants whose spines were severed with scissors at a West Philadelphia clinic that has been described as a house of horrors, officials said today.
District Attorney Seth Williams said the doctor, Kermit P. Gosnell, was charged following a grand jury investigation.
Gosnell, 69, lost his medical license last year after health officials determined his clinic posed "a clear danger to the public."
Gosnell was arrested this morning, officials said. He has maintained his innocence.
The seven infants were born alive in the 6th, 7th and 8th months of pregnancy and killed by severing their spinal cords with scissors, William said.

This is worse than Tucson.
TEN others charged in this case. READ the article, it’s utterly disgusting. Viable infants routinely murdered via scissors to the spinal chord.
“I wonder if this murder of 8 will get much attention in the Evening News.”
Nah. There’s no crosshairs.
NO INSPECTION since 1993!
Dems are all for tough regulation.......until it comes to abortion clinics, then it’s just “pass another scissors, please.”
And certainly not influenced by right-wing talk radio...
Only if they can find a way to blame Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh.
Gee, and I thought only conservatives were killers /sarc.
unreal,,, sick. Obama opposes this,,, he thinks you should just throw em into a supply closet until they die. Words fail,,,
In view of President Obama’s defense of abortion clinic practices going back to his position on SB200 in the Illinois Senate, is this event the result of his neglect of concerns about abortion?
And really, given his lack of seriousness about these issues, shouldn’t he not run in 2012?
Can’t wait to see the abortionists spin this. It ought to be a roller coaster ride of surreal logic that even Jared Loughner would have a hard time with.
I wonder if this murder of 8 will get much attention in the Evening News.

My thought exactly. Plus I wonder how many of the photos on Philly.com will ever get wider distribution. The Pro”choice” activists probably cannot believe that this is what abortion providers really are like. SCUM!
Same thought.
George Tiller’s twin?
I hope he gets life, and his practice is destroyed forever.
The seven infants were murdered moments after the same procedure could have been performed legally in the womb.
According to the legislation endorsed by Obama in Illinois, the abortionist could have tossed the crying babies into a laundry bin to expire.
and will now the corrupt bias media be over this for the next couple of weeks like they were for AZ?
Nah didn’t think so, it hurts their commmie agenda.

Some of us may need a seminar.
Doctors sometimes develop a “God Complex” because they somewhat control both life and death.
Late term abortion is especially insidious because if the child was delivered normally it would be able to survive and in most cases life a normal life. How a doctor with their Hippocratic oath “do no harm” could participate in such things is beyond me.
If the Liberals and Progressives really want their late term abortions it should be mother who kills the child directly instead of putting that blood on the hands of the doctor. I am not endorsing this, but this would be a “poison pill” for the subject of abortion. If the mother had to snuff the life out of her child with her own hands it would lead to so much emotional trauma to the woman that most who did that would probably turn around and become very pro-life and carry that guilt with them for the rest of their life that they took a life. Instead a third party ie. The abortion doctor does it and the consequences and violence of the act are insulated from the mother having the abortion.
Abortion is a lot like any other liberal agenda in this way, taking away the consequences from the people who are “in trouble” and placing the responsibility onto someone else.
