Rush now talking about this article, specifically the part describing Loughner as a Bush hater.

Here are some weird bits:

Then, in September 2007, he and a friend were caught with drug paraphernalia in a white van.

Something was happening to Jared Loughner. It was clear to his friends, clear to anyone who encountered him.

Oh, man. If he had only stayed away from that white van.

“He would get so upset about bigger issues, like why do positive and negative magnets have to attract each other,” recalled Mr. Gutierrez, the friend who joined him in target practice in the desert. “He had the most incredible thoughts, but he could not handle them.”

Perhaps someone needs to keep watch on Mr. Gutierrez if he things magnetic attraction is one of the "bigger issues."

A few days later, during a meeting with a school administrator, Mr. Loughner said that he had paid for his courses illegally because, “I did not pay with gold and silver” — a standard position among right-wing extremist groups.

A bit gratuitous, this, on the part of the writers.

He received a few bills for the $20 and handed Mr. Loughner a $5 bill — meaning his tip was 75 cents. The cabdriver would later wonder why, considering what was about to happen, his passenger didn’t just let him keep the $20.

Just because he's crazy doesn't mean he'd think a > 33% tip on a $14.25 fare is in order.

Was just a few years ago when lefty groups would take bus trips to Rumsfeld or Rove’s house, storm their property, surround their house and shriek threats to their families. Don’t recall any Dem politicians even saying a negative word about such tactics. In fact, I recall mainstream Dems speaking positively about such hysteria. If you want to look for “lack of civility” look no further. Doesn’t surprise me that Loughner was on board with the mainstream Dem Bush-hating meme.

Please, PLEASE do not insult Uncle Fester! Unlike Loeffner and about 95% of democrats, Uncle Fester is sane.

He won’t have alot to grin about.
If he doesn’t get the death penalty, he’s basically looking at the rest of his life in solitary.

Put him in with the general population and the over-achievers would line up around the block to do him in. Sort of a badge of honor thingie...

but his friends claim he was apolitical.

A longtime friend of his, Caitie Parker (post 3 above), clearly described him as liberal leftwing. His BEST friend, "Zach" (post 5 above), claims he was "apolitical" BUT then goes on to say he (the shooter) was PROFOUNDLY influenced by the "Zeitgeist Movement". His young 20-something year old friend apparently didn't realize or understand that the Zeitgeist Movement is a global MARXIST one. See posts 3 and 5 above.

That describes just about everybody in Hollywood and the music industry. I say we ban them all from having anything to do with firearms!
