Attending a gun show and exercising a 2nd Amendment right is now considered "showing off?"

The dems were expecting Giffords to die.

a mere 13 miles away

Oh the horror! They were only 13 miles away! What if one of those guns escaped!

Anybody that uses the phrase packing heat is suspect in my opinion and learned all they know of shooting and guns from movies.

"...many openly packing heat,"

Oh my goodness, they must all have been criminals, since they were "packing heat"!

"a mere 13 miles away from last weekend's rampage."

Gasp! That's practically across the street!

" Despite the 4,500 who filed into the Crossroads of the West Gun Show at the Pima County Fairgrounds throughout the day, a donation box at the entrance for the six dead and 13 wounded, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, sat nearly empty."

Well, then...I guess maybe the gun show should be forced to donate it's proceeds to the donation box, since it was an eeeeevil gun that caused that pot-smoking, homosexual, deranged Leftist kook Loughner to open fire. /s

I could go on, but this is too easy.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

...the two-day gun extravaganza that features more than 100 vendors hawking massive arsenals of AK-47s, assault weapons, sniper gear and ammo.

Just damn, sorry I missed that one, she looks to have been a good one.

“...a donation box at the entrance for the six dead and 13 wounded, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, sat nearly empty.”

Colleen Bush, the ‘author’ of this so-called article didn’t say what time of day she saw this “nearly empty” box. Either she was the first one in or it had been emptied a dozen times already. Gun owners are known to be generous to innocent victims of gun violence.

Filling up another barf-bag.

The author writes like this gun show was planned after the Giffords shooting, when any sane person realizes it was scheduled months ago. What an idiot. The NY Post should be ashamed of itself.

Might have been a different news week if there were a crowd of open carry at Walgreens last week.

Just how far away should they have gone? How far is far-enough? Citizens must not allow infringement of their 2nd Amendment rights just because a crime was committed on some liberals by a mad man. I, for one, would have done the same if I lived in the area.

I see no nobody was shot with any of those guns available.

Perhaps the writer should mention that these people are the responsible gun owners. The ones that gun laws would hope to restrict.

It could have been a teachable moment.

Only 13 miles away? 7000 armed citizens and hundreds of vendors with every legal firearm readily available?

Now here's the teachable part: no one was shot. No one was even threatened, apparently. There were no problems whatsoever. Maybe it's true that an armed society is a polite society? But the MSM could never admit that.

If I was a public figure, I might consider a gun show as a safer place to hold a rally...
