No, this was the best speech he has given .. think done without teleprompter but with notes........ the rest was an embarrassment, but I don’t blame him for the stupidity of the university president... and it seems the college was behind the t-shirts, too.
Did you watch the speech? I did and as i was watching my jaw was dropping and I said outloud this is his best-ever speech. I give credit where credit is due, he is a terrible president, but he rose to the occasion in that speech.... to bad I can’t say the same for UofA
You must set a very low bar for good speeches. It was terrible. He could have stopped the embarrassment any time he wanted. He didn’t because he loved every minute of it. If you really think he wasn’t in on the t-shirt deal, that you are very gullible.
I really don’t know what speech some of you were listening too.
And... truth is, Glenn is the real deal, but he messed up this time. That said, I'm not sure I would hold it together when someone is telling me I helped kill a little girl. That's tough..I give Beck a pass.
Now BOR..he's more of an entertaining player himself, he can't take any real heat at all. Bor just plays a tough guy on TV is all. I used to think he was great but I watched him go mushy every time when the rubber met the road. I only watch him now and then...used to be all the time.
I miss Reagan so much my heart hurts. I wish he were leading us through these horrible times. At least now we have a toehold with this new Congress. I still have a hope of a restored America.

I have a feeling his speech was rewritten after Sarah Palin gave her speech. Hers was from the heart, and he had to read his from the podium, with a teleprompter likely on the top.
The t-shirts came from Organizing for America. They didn’t put out the shirts without an OK from the White House.
Yes, what a contrast. Note that Reagan didn’t make the Challenger tragedy about himself as the gangsta-in-chief did with the Tucson tragedy. In times of sorrow and anxiety, Reagan and Bush were reassuring. The current White House occupant just offends and irritates.
Where was the word ‘thrive’ used in any remarks? By anyone? Search for yourselves.

if you want to hear how a memorial speech is done, view Bush after 9/11. The pretender in chief zero is just a performer. Sometimes he hits his lines but there is no soul in there
Anyway..I don't know why you are trying so hard to like Obama..or his speech. I guess I can relate to the desire to actually have a real President of all the people..not just a few. We all long for that day and millions were hoping Obama would be it.
But.... I'm such a bubble burster and so focused on reality that it's annoying to not a few people. I sincerely believe that this entire sad ordeal( rally) was completely staged from start to finish with no surprises.
Obama had to "move to the center" at precisely this place in time to start the push for 2012..everyone knows it but cannot or do not want to believe that he and his circle could be that low...but yes..they were and it is all at once, unbelievable and despicable.
No words can describe the lowliness of using a child's funeral for your agenda..happens all the time in politics around the world and if there is a God..these people will surely be the first to feel the sting of his rebuke...I doubt they believe any rebuke is forthcoming.
