I miss Reagan so much my heart hurts. I wish he were leading us through these horrible times. At least now we have a toehold with this new Congress. I still have a hope of a restored America.

Yes, what a contrast. Note that Reagan didn’t make the Challenger tragedy about himself as the gangsta-in-chief did with the Tucson tragedy. In times of sorrow and anxiety, Reagan and Bush were reassuring. The current White House occupant just offends and irritates.

And Reagan appropriately gave that speech from the Oval Office rather than prematurely imposing himself on those who were grieving.
