TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Summoning the soul of a nation, President Barack Obama on Wednesday implored Americans to honor those slain and injured in the Arizona shootings by becoming better people, telling a polarized citizenry that it is time to talk with each other "in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds."
Following a hospital bedside visit with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the target of the assassination, he said: "She knows we're here, and she knows we love her."

Sarah Palin's video remarks today were far more thoughtful and worthy of the presidency than anything I heard from Obama tonight.
If he wants to talk in a way that heals, he needs to start with the left. Unfortunately the rabid rhetoric coming out of the left is exactly what he seeks.

This site Free Republic has ALWAYS been just about the slowest site that i have ever been to, and i’m talking 1994 here but lately, like RIGHT NOW it is getting to be too much.
