Wilmington, Delaware (CNN) -- Police have found homicide victim John Wheeler's cell phone, according to a taxi driver who was interviewed by investigators this week.
Athel Scott told CNN National Correspondent Susan Candiotti that police told him they found the cab driver's number in the phone of Wheeler, the former Pentagon official who was found dead in a Delaware landfill. He said investigators wanted to know how his number got there. Scott... says he told the police he didn't have any idea.
"I never got a call from the man. I don't know him... He's never been in my cab. I don't know how my number got in his cellphone," Scott says he told police...

This report (post above) of 5th and King is a completely different address than what I’ve seen up to this point - unless it’s the video the police haven’t released.
Colonial parking has quite a few structures in the area
WHOA NELLY!!!
Justice of the Peace Stanley Petraschuk issued the first search warrant of Wheeler’s home on the day the body was found. Attorney General Beau Biden’s office asked four days later to seal the warrant, arguing that the disclosure of its contents will compromise the investigation. ~ http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20110113/NEWS/110113005/John-Wheeler-investigation-Search-warrants-sealed
Dec 31 ~ body found; body sent to be autopsied; search warrant issued by Justice of the Peace Stanley Petraschuk (to unnamed agency) for Wheeler’s home (even though nobody knows he’s dead).
Jan 1 ~ Autopsy has been completed; body has still not been identified.
Jan 2 ~ Body identified; four search warrants issued to Newark Police to search Wheeler’s home, car and cell phone (2 warrants issued signed by 2 different people for the cell phone search).
Jan 4 ~ Beau Biden requests first search warrant be sealed. That’s the search that occurred two days before anybody knew the body was Wheeler’s. Nobody even missed him yet. His wife was overseas, and didn’t know anything was wrong. But some unnamed agency (or individual/s) searched the Wheeler home, tore up floorboards, and disappeared without a trace.
Btw, the man I mentioned earlier today, who disappeared on Dec 29 on his way home, lives right across the street from the Cool Spring Reservoir, shown at the top left of the map you linked to in post 561. Within walking distance of the Hotel DuPont/Nemours Building/Law Offices of Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz LLP.

Fascinating. Thanks for the ping. Thanks to all posters/researcher/linkers/educators.
New information. BUMP for John Wheeler!
Maybe I'm wrong but I see this search as a result of the TV blaring, no one answering the door after the fire run, and not being able to find Jack. It may have been a "wellness search" as there was no one in the family to give permission to enter the house.
Do you mean "suspects in" Wheeler's murder? Offhand I would say, oh, from Day One.
Wheeler list - on please
If the ring and watch shown at The Wall are the ones you are concerned about — that photo was taken 17 years ago. I think he was married to someone else then and now is married to Klyce. It’s also quite possible he could have replaced his watch in that amount of time.
Right, the picture in my post was taken in 1994, as I pointed out.
It's not that particular watch I'm interested in, it's that he wears the watch on his left wrist.
Go back and read my post again, it should clear this up for you.
I am struck by the number of contradictions in this story. Is it the normal sequence because no information has been released or is it a deliberate planting of misinformation? Of course the latter requires an adequate supply of tin foil, but each new “fact” learned should come with a “consider the source” disclaimer.
I would be more willing to believe a cabbie who puts his name out there than I would anonymous LE sources. Anyone who followed the Duke LAX frame understands. :-)
The parking at the doubletree is garaged / controlled access.
If Jack's car had been moved there would been a record and
video of the event.
Check this, I still think that could be a watch.

One of Wheeler's last rides
Also, there are a number of very interesting posts and pictures since my last ping at 248.
FReepmail Albion Wilde to be ADDED or REMOVED from this John Wheeler ping list. If you received this ping, you're ALREADY ON.
You’re on.
That car has been parked there since December 13th. It was a 1993 whatever...The family has it now.
in broad strokes where does this stand via known facts ?
TIA
This "Spence" cabbie more or less verifies that he was in slacks and a sportcoat...THERE WAS NO TOPCOAT!!!!
Okay...then he has a watch on both wrists.
Oldsmobile, IIRC.
