Wilmington, Delaware (CNN) -- Police have found homicide victim John Wheeler's cell phone, according to a taxi driver who was interviewed by investigators this week.
Athel Scott told CNN National Correspondent Susan Candiotti that police told him they found the cab driver's number in the phone of Wheeler, the former Pentagon official who was found dead in a Delaware landfill. He said investigators wanted to know how his number got there. Scott... says he told the police he didn't have any idea.
"I never got a call from the man. I don't know him... He's never been in my cab. I don't know how my number got in his cellphone," Scott says he told police...

The possibility exists that the Newark PD (with the help of the FBI) are very cunning, indeed.
I forgot to mention what bothered me in above post. If Klyce is indeed wife three, did she say she was wife 2 or did the reporter assume? If she said she was wife 2, why would she lie? And if she lied about that, what else would she lie about.
Does an annuled marriage count as a marriage? In the eyes of the church?
How the heck did you find that...wow!!
IIRC, He hasn't been married to Klyce very long.
I have to go back and read that new article again.
If she called him several times and it went to voicemail...then it's traceable via the cell towers....
She's giving out too much information and if the phone at the Marini house was a red herring....she just tipped off the bad guys.
I can see why the cops won't give her any info...she's got a big mouth.
And the more I think about what she is saying...and I don't say this with an malice....my gut tells me she is deliberately tipping someone off...
But wait...IIRC, they said she died years ago...
Wonder if this 90 year old lives in Philly...
My last ping was at post 1,333. Since then, there have been a variety of great comments and links:
Protect the Bill of Rights posted this link of Wilmington officials discussing the murder and the involvement of the dumpster route at 1,353:
Jobs, Wheeler, and DelDOT.
Sacajaweau posted a critical profile from 2006 about the Klyce/Wheeler lawyer Colm Connolly at 1,366, and another Radell Smith article, this one about the involvement of the Delaware Medical Examiner, at 1,369.
Brityank contributed this February 15 link: Investigators enter Wheeler's home.
Protect the Bill of Rights added links to three more stories about the home investigation, as well as the announcement of the April 29 burial to be held at Arlington Cemetery.
LucyT followed up with another link about the burial plans.
Blueplum found this incisive interview with Jack Wheeler's wife from Slate magazine. Discussion follows...
Nuconvert led the way to this link, which has not been posted before. This article has some very deep conspiracy theories and more links in the Comments section:

FReepmail Albion Wilde to be ADDED or REMOVED from a pinglist on the Wheeler case. If you received this ping, you're ALREADY ON.
I wish Nancy Grace or some other TV show will feature this story.
The credit card charges for the plane tickets to Madrid are intriguing. I wonder what the actual purchase date was? Madrid is not the normal destination of your average street thug.
I got the impression the police took the Credit Cards? I must have read it incorrectly.
Could it have been McCain?
[Very odd indeed - I certainly hope they have leads!!/WCG]
Thus far; of course we do not know 'details' but from outside, looking in; it looks like a 'Larry, Darryl and Darryl' MO per investigation. . ./cricket/]
That article is just so bad - lots of things that are contradicted by other earlier reports.

“We are writing to request that you withhold your final review and approval of the design for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. . . . Many Vietnam era veterans object strongly to the memorial as now conceived. We believe that no memorial should be built that is offensive to those who served in Vietnam.” [PDF]
If you remember, I said something was wrong that Jack didn't call his wife...everyone said...it's nothing...she's traveling.
So, here's this world traveling wife and she's pissed at him because he's got a "duty" to attend a meeting in DC.
Notice she says nothing good about Jack...That sweet picture....maybe it was...back then.
Wonder what her business was like BEFORE she met Jack...She started it in 2004.
Thanks for the ping Albion Wilde:)
Thanks for the info blueplum (((((((Hugs))))))
A few random thoughts.
Klyce: “..”If you write anything, I hope you write that the cops just made our lives miserable,”
Soooo, is it all about Klyce or finding the killers.?
The cops were “rude”.
One does not need an actual credit card to make a reservation, ESPECIALLY if it is on file with the agent of choice. She would not need a physical card. I wonder if they took her passport?
She dismissed the shoe in one hand because Jack did not care about clothes. I'm not a fashion plate myself, but I don't walk through town with one shoe in hand and the other missing.
If he did not care about clothes, then why was she so insistent in an earlier article that he NEVER wore hoodies?
I am not sure if she could be involved or if the world is all about her.
My guess is that she had no love for New Castle even in the best of times.
It was on Channel 6 abclocal news that day (prior to 4pm) that his death was a homicide. Why would the police tell her heart attack and tell the news homicide?
The first search warrant (for the house) was obtained by New Castle police - NOT Newark. That was the search warrant that was not "sealed" and Beau Biden's office had to have "sealed" after the fact.
Newark police had the case by Jan 2 - and the "family" went to Newark PD. Why didn't New Castle police tell the family prior to the 2nd?
So many of the news articles have been scrubbed from the archives that it is hard to find some of these contradictions.
