USABreakingNews has just confirmed that Dulles Airport’s east end has been evacuated on the ticketing level and the baggage claim level due to a suspicious package that has been found. A representative for the airport tells USABrkNews that police are currently investigating and that the only airline possibly affected is United Airlines.
The representative added that operations on the airport’s other end are functioning just fine and that flights are still arriving and departing.
Yes that could be the case.
According to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, a canine unit reacted to an unattended item on the east of the baggage claim level. Four baggage claim carousels and the United Airlines ticket counter, which sits above the area where the item was found, were evacuated.

I hate this, my son and his wife are flying tonight. I know they are likely to be perfectly fine, but I would feel better if this weren’t going on right now.

JUST IN- Police give the ‘all clear’ at Dulles Airport moments ago; package in question deemed not a threat to the public.
My daughetr just flew to Narita on United /Dulles last Sunday. At the First Class check-in we were told to just put her bag over in the corner and someone would load it later. There were boxes, bins taped with sealing tape, bags all laying around. I’ve been to Dulles many, many times. No dogs. The TSA morons all walk around like zombies on break, always eating, strolling up and down. They wouldn’t know a threat if it bit them in the ass. There were so many suitcases and boxes laying around and no one cared. Just sayin’

El Al never lets you leave your luggage alone. You must ALWAYS be in possession of it, and you will be questioned about who packed it and if it was ever out of your sight.
