Agreed, especially if comments like I made to my local station get passed upwards. In fact, just about the right amount of time has passed for those chickens to have come home to roost. That's what I was thinking. It's been 77 days. That's a "decent interval," as they say.

This is not who should be fired: it is Vivian Schiller who must go. I read in the link that Schiller didn’t get a bonus in 2010 for her role in the Williams firing. She needs to be shown to the door.

this is just cover to attempt to keep congress from defunding Of course. She made the unforgivable mistake of publicly showing PBS's real, frightening face. Undermining America (with American taxpayer funding) must be done stealthily.
To: Elle Bee
That’s all this is. They want to keep feeding at the trough.

“Bingo” I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they went to her in private and told her they didn't want this to happen but they have to let her go or take a chance on losing Govt.funding.

I agree. I don’t think either you or I agree with Juan all the time, but he’s one of the least offensive Lefties out there these days. The grounds for his firing were ridiculous.

NPR's board of director said in a statement that its has now adopted "recommendations and remedial measures" ranging from "new internal procedures concerning personnel and on air-talent decisions to taking appropriate disciplinary action with respect to certain management employees involved in the termination." Translation: This was a major Charlie Foxtrot and at least one head had to roll.

It’s all about the loss of gov’t funding that they don’t want to happen. They were desperate in their attempts to keep the gov’t dollars coming in, to the point that they most unwillingly sacrificed one of their own in order to stave off what hopefully will be the inevitable, defunding by the new Pub House of Reps, new holders of the money purse, heh, heh, heh.

I’ve never cared for Juan Williams and, now that he’s part of the Fox organization, I care even less for him. However, if his dismissal has caused disunity and chaos within the liberal establishment, I’m four square for it.

They need to just defund NPR along with many, many other things we are forced to pay for that are totally useless.
