I would like to state my case that we should pay more attention to Jon Stewart.
My kids assure me that he and his creepy sidekick, the guy with really strange contact lenses, Colbert, are "cool." I do not think Dude Obama could have won without Stewart expending his "cool" to drive out the nitwits who have just barely gotten their drivers' licenses. I suspect that most of Stewart's audience may be legally adult, but are dependents on parents who are regularly mocked and derided on the Daily Show.
Just as we pay attention to the high-school textbooks being selected in Austin, Texas, we should be aware of what goes on on the Daily Show.
Jon who??
May I recommend this excellent segment on the S.F Happy Meal Ban:

I think he’s funny. At least he was 10 years ago, the last time I paid any attention to him. I saw him do standup at Carolines in NYC and it was very funny. I took my wife on one of our first dates to be in the studio audience of the Daily Show—this was the first year he took over that show and you could basically just walk in to the show. Maybe he’s gotten unfunny over time, as Letterman did, but he definitely has done funny stuff.
Colbert is not cool. He made an ass of himself on Capitol Hill and even the MSM reported it as so.
Stewart bears watching in the future. He shows some sparks of intelligence once in a great while.
Colbert has ho redeeming characteristics what so ever.
I see no
Jon Who?
Some people get their “news” from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Sad, really.
A) What’s a Jon Stewart?
That segment on the Happy Meal joke in SF was priceless.
JS guy: force Netflix to do something.
Idiot: we can’t force a private business to alter business practices.
Repeated several times.
JS guy: thats what you are doing with the Happy Meals?
Idiot: (blank stare)
LOL

Stewart is funny when he’s not goring your ox. He takes on Obama and the Dems occasionally, usually followed by an apology to his audience. It’s a shame he’s not more conservative, but then they wouldn’t give him a show would they.
...about as likely for me to have a “Bill Maher Watch”...ain’t happening.
But it's disturbing to read comments on that site of people actually supporting this law. I personally think anyone in favor of this law should be executed.
“Some people get their news from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Sad, really.”
What’s sad is that they are the PRIMARY News Source for males under 25, ESPECIALLY on a college campus.
When a FAKE NEWS SHOW is the Primary News source for a large segment of the population, hello Houston, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
Jon Stewart is just a comedian. He takes shots at both sides and he does a good job of it. He is no different than Dennis Miller, Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh or any other people who use politics as part or all of their show. He puts humor and Irony in it. Just imagine what would happen if people quit giving these guys ammunition?
I see no reason to keep tabs on him like I do anyone else. He works in the private sector does his job well and people watch him for it. Instead maybe folks should pay more attention to their kids education.
Why would you want to give him any exposure or promote him at all?
NO!
You can't make this stuff up even in your most confused drug induced moments of confusion. The good part is that people sober up and become embarassed by such ridiculous ideas which seemed good at the time.
Politicians refuse to let go of the same ridiculous type of idea even after a sobering up period. Then they fire the staffer for not fixing their bad idea. Kinda like having Bill Clinton take the podium away from the president, colbert sworn to congress as an immigration expert, or Al Franken as a US Senator.......Wait, they are still doing the Al Franken thing. It's not over yet!
He says my daughter now understands that McDonalds isn’t good for her.
How did she learn this.
She watched Supersize Me with me.
So she learned if from her parents?
