New Speaker Vows to Share Powera Tricky Proposition
JANUARY 4, 2011
By NAFTALI BENDAVID And PATRICK O'CONNOR
When John Boehner takes over one of the most powerful jobs in Washington this week, he says his first order of business is to make himself less powerful.
On Wednesday the new speaker of the House of Representatives plans to offer a package of rule changes that, he says, will give minority-party members more of a say and decentralize power. In short, Ohio Republican Mr. Boehner is promising he'll be a different figure from many speakers throughout historyfrom Republican Joseph Cannon a century ago to his immediate predecessor, Democrat Nancy Pelosiwho kept a tighter leash.
But there's a reason so many speakers try to keep close control: It works.

Makes me think of the scene from “Spaceballs”
Dark Helmet: If there’s one thing I despise, it is a fair fight. But if I must, then I must. May the best man win. Put ‘er there.
[Reaches out to shake Lone Starr’s hand and takes his Schwartz ring]
Dark Helmet: The Ring! I can’t believe you fell for the oldest trick in the book! What a fool, what’s with you man, c’mon? Here let me give it back to you. Oh!
[throws it down a hole]
Dark Helmet: Oh, look at that, you fell for that too! I can’t believe it, man!
Oh brother. No doubt I am not surprised.
Yes, pure Rhetoric...
Sigh.
Why is it that Democrats always do the castrating?
Is it the FBI files, Democrat obnoxiousness or Republican complicity in the game?
Just asking.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Oh gee, the American people have spoken out TIME AND AGAIN against Communism, but let’s make nice with the commies across the aisle anyway. Will somebody please slap this coward across the head REAL HARD right now?
Or dumbass, stupid ass! Worthless scum is what they are.
It will be a long, hard slog to get Tea Party people in control of the party committees, but it’s the only realistic solution. Creating a new party from scratch seems unworkable, and until we solve the problem of RINO infiltration, any new party would be similarly vulnerable.

FORGET THE EMAILS! Hit his FACEBOOK page!
All you’ll get back is a form email.
FLOOD HIS FACEBOOK PAGE THAT HE DOES READ.
Boehner is weak. We need a strong leader...we do not need a leader who sobs and rings his hands like the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz. Boehner is not up for the fight of OUR lives.
So, what are you going to do about it, House of Representatives?????
You’ll *never* solve the RINO infiltration problem and any party (new or old) is *always* vulnerable to the communists. People think this or that problem is ‘solved’, they relax and are up to their eyeballs before they realize that the problem was never *solved*.
Eternal vigilance is the only acceptable frame of mind.

Unfortunately, that’s not my guess at all.
Theyre all on the same team. Its good cop, bad cop
YUP, Only thing that is different is who greases you the best!
Screwed again.
And still there are people here who seriously expect the GOP to undo any of the damage 0bama has done.
They will defund nothing, it is for US to defund THEM. That and violence are the only things that will make an impression, and one can’t advocate violence.
Go Galt. Quit enabling them.
Idiots.
Just sent the jackass an email telling him to knock-off the "sharing of power" nonsense and to get busy repairing all of the damage done by Obama/Pelosi/Reid. I also said we will be watching them closely to see which Republicans/RINOs we will be dumping the next time around along with another batch of Rats.
