End of Days in May? Believers enter final stretch
MSNBC ^ | Jan 3rd, 2010

'A lot of people might think, 'The end's coming, let's go party.' But we're commanded by God to warn people'

RALEIGH, N.C. — If there had been time, Marie Exley would have liked to start a family. Instead, the 32-year-old Army veteran has less than six months left, which she'll spend spreading a stark warning: Judgment Day is almost here.

Exley is part of a movement of Christians loosely organized by radio broadcasts and websites, independent of churches and convinced by their reading of the Bible that the end of the world will begin on May 21, 2011.

To get the word out, they're using billboards and bus stop benches, traveling caravans of RVs and volunteers passing out pamphlets on street corners. Cities from Bridgeport, Conn., to Little Rock, Ark., now have billboards with the ominous message, and mission groups are traveling in countries from Latin America to Africa to spread the news outside the U.S.

REally, I thought it was Dec 21, 2012.

My prediction is for the end on February 31, 2012.

He owned it first, long before others co-opted it for their cause.

Genesis 9:13–17

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

I think he’s a year and 7 months early. I thought it was going to be 12/21/12.

I wonder if Jesus is saying, “Man, oh man. I was all ready to come on May 21st and this clown had to tell everybody. Now I’ll have to reschedule.”

Oral Roberts made Him reschedule numerous times.

Wouldn’t it be fun to slip into Marie’s house on the evening of May 21st and set off a box full of firecrackers while tripping the main breakers?

Concept for you to ponder.

Does God really care if I live a long life, or die in a fiery, painful death?

I submit, that unless he has a purpose that I have not fulfilled - my life is just chaos. I will be judged on HOW I lived my life. Did I embrace the Word? Was I kind and generous with what I had?

Eternity is a long time; our lifetime is ample for our ‘true self’ to emerge, and be tested. Our eternal reward is based on how we chose to behave, given the gift of ‘Free Will’.

So, what happens in life - IMHO, is largely pure chance. God doesn’t care who wins a Football game, how you or I die, how long we live, or under what conditions. In the grand scheme - our lives are but a short moment of discomfort. How well we bear our burdens, is a key element on our eternal judgement.

The 3 in 1. The trinity. One God, separate entities. Christs words are what I paraphrased in my earlier post.

Can we still stop her from procreating?

(Yes, I've used a variation of this line on all three dup threads).

I believe in End Time Prophetic events and Signs and Seasons, but not a paticular day...Jesus could come anytime even on that May 21st date.......I just know we are close to the Great Tribulation time as the Holy Bible tells us

I believe the same as you. I was addressing this post And TaraP will continue posting end-times prophecy on sites like Free Republic until they no longer can do so - with the world still spinning. I pinged you because it included you and not because of any unbelief of end-times prophecy.

Keep them coming, Tara! Even though some don't believe in the end-times prophesy.

What a disgrace. The Bible CLEARLY teaches that only the Father knows the time, not even Jesus Christ himself knows. I pray these people wake up and put their faith in Him and not people.

That world wide radio station predicted the second coming in 1994. When it did not happen, unrepentant as heck, they calculated again, and came up with May 21, 2011. They will again have egg on their faces, and I think they do a disservice to Christianity. No one knows when it will happen.

I heard someone call into that station, and tell him his interpretation bordered on insanity. It was like water off a ducks back. He really did not react to it at all. I was amazed. They still do, however, have the best gospel music I ever heard.

- He knows which hearts will turn to Him, and which won’t.

What’s the use of creating those people that He knows won’t turn to Him?
