Concept for you to ponder.
Does God really care if I live a long life, or die in a fiery, painful death?
I submit, that unless he has a purpose that I have not fulfilled - my life is just chaos. I will be judged on HOW I lived my life. Did I embrace the Word? Was I kind and generous with what I had?
Eternity is a long time; our lifetime is ample for our ‘true self’ to emerge, and be tested. Our eternal reward is based on how we chose to behave, given the gift of ‘Free Will’.
So, what happens in life - IMHO, is largely pure chance. God doesn’t care who wins a Football game, how you or I die, how long we live, or under what conditions. In the grand scheme - our lives are but a short moment of discomfort. How well we bear our burdens, is a key element on our eternal judgement.
“God doesnt care who wins a Football game, how you or I die, how long we live, or under what conditions.”
So, then, do you believe that the following scriptures apply to spiritual gifts only and never material?
Matthew 7:7. Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.
7:8. For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
7:9. Or what man is there among you, of whom if his son shall ask bread, will he reach him a stone?
7:10. Or if he shall ask him a fish, will he reach him a serpent?
7:11. If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more will your Father who is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him?
