Two of the nation's premier moral issues organizations, the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America, are refusing to attend the Conservative Political Action Conference in February because a homosexual activist group, GOProud, has been invited.
"We've been very involved in CPAC for over a decade and have managed a couple of popular sessions. However, we will no longer be involved with CPAC because of the organization's financial mismanagement and movement away from conservative principles," said Tom McClusky, senior vice president for FRC Action.

These clubs should create a naitonal umbrella, even if its just a fifth of the effort. Something a little bit more organized than the TEA Party but with local clubs that have the freedom to raise their own funds and act independently.
Yes. Not a Republican org but a conservative one, like FR.
right on.
Agree 100%. CPAC is a fraud. And so is the ACU, apparently.
“Sometimes, you stay and fight a fire. Other times, the house is burning down and collapsing on your head and its better to get out of there and build a new house.”
You are correct, of course, but there is only one United States and it is on fire. We have to start fighting it somewhere.
“rimPAC, or felchPAC”
RIMPAC is an annual Navy exercise.
I don’t know what “felch” means, and I don’t want to.
“The notion that ultimate Washington insider David Keene considers himself a voice of the grassroots is delusional.”
It’s beginning to look to me like the way you “become” something—voice of; heavy hitter; influential leader—is just to claim you are and try to get enough people to go along with you.
“What ever happens between 2 consenting adults in a bedroom is a personal matter.”
No, it’s not.
“That doesnt work. GOProud was at CPAC last time even though some organizations objected.”
Clearly they failed to object strongly enough.
There’s something the left has always had that conservatives don’t: a willingness to go to jail. The left will physically obstruct entrances, throw bottles, beat people, and riot, even if they go to jail for it. Conservatives walk on eggshells to avoid “behaving badly.”
I submit that those tactics got them where they are today, and our refusal to use them is sending us down to dusty death.
It is said that Samuel Adams instigated a number of illegal events, including the Boston Massacre.
“It should be done not by running, but by standing up...”
It is highly unlikely that FRC or CWA made their decisions without lengthy discussions with the CPAC organizers. The latter apparently refused to budge. You gotta know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em ....
Let’s hope this starts a trend and the convention ends up looking like one of those cheap flea markets frequented by the illegals.
Yes, and many who are (were) registered on FR have, too.
We really need to have an national discussion on what conservative means (what it has always meant.)
It was infiltration. They slowly took over key party positions. And the press. And education. And the Arts. And television....need I go on? Illegal behavior only proves a lack of IQ.
Well......the Boss is seriously having that discussion on FR. I think his "Zot" finger is getting a workout!
“It was infiltration.”
Certainly there has been a lot of infiltration. However, the disruption, rioting, violence, and intimidation came first and blazed the trail. I watched the whole thing from about 1967 onward. Did you? Have you read “The Closing of the American Mind?” If not, I highly recommend it.
“Illegal behavior only proves a lack of IQ.”
Sorry, but that’s nonsense. When your illegal behavior prompts major universities to change their curricula, it proves just the opposite. Without the sit-ins, riots, threats to professors and deans, burnings, and bombings, there would be no black-studies-women’s-studies-queer studies crap on campuses today.
Remember “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western Civ has got to go?” As stupid as that sounds, they got the requirement to study Western Civilization removed—through disruption, intimidation, and violence, and did it well before infiltration was significantly advanced.
Thank goodness we can disagree though. Libs only allow group think. :-)
“It was the way those things are reported”
I think you would find “The Closing of the American Mind” an interesting book.
Really??? Are you kidding me? So, your saying what ever happens between 2 consenting adults in a bedroom is a public matter? What 2 consenting adults do privately is between them and god, and I am not god and neither are the fools in government.
Washington and Jefferson thought so. I have links if you want them.
Also there were sodomy laws until the 1970's when liberals started pushing "What 2 consenting adults do privately is between them".
Oh and, they don’t keep in their bedroom do they. If they did we wouldn’t be discussing it, would we.
