Barrack Obama came to office with an agenda to fundamentally change America. An element of his agenda is a plan, known as catch shares, to restructure the nation's fishing industry. The author of his plan is Dr. Jane Lubchenco, the environmentalist rock star and former vice chairperson of the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). When it comes to the oceans, the protection of fish, and the punishment of the evil fishermen, Dr. Lubchenco is as extreme as Obama's former green jobs czar, Van Jones.

Now government is obviously doing its best to kill the fishing industry.
Of course, you'll hear little about this from the major-media-socialist-cheering-squads.
Sir you are on target. The American people have no idea what is happening with their marine resources. Obama’s Oceans Policy is just the framework.

Folks have no idea that we are heading straight into food-shortages - and low-cost fish is a BIG part of our diet, and that diet just may not be economically possible if this crap isn't reigned in by massive outcry from the public at large.
Folks... don’t stop reading about this until you’ve clicked on the (underlined in red) last three words in the excerpt above (the national fisheries) which takes you to an article in the Washington Examiner, by Ron Arnold.
Well...that will most likely kill off the rest of South Louisiana, at least the part that wasn’t killed off already after Katrina and the BP oil fiaso. If they can only create a State full of people demanding that the Federal Govt take care of them...... wow...the possibilities! Of course, that would never happen in Louisiana. </sarch>
The US should be filled with wildlife, not Americans.
At some point, they will stop hiding their true agenda.
Lubchenco first came to Washington in 1997 as a board member of the Environmental Defense Fund (2008 income: $112 million), which has been the vanguard for a radical restructuring of the fishing industry, converting the ocean commons into commodities that EDF named catch shares. (emphasis not in original)
Thats not shares as in splitting up the catch equitably, its shares as in paper permits for a preset catch, doled out to fishermen by the government in dribbles designed, according to Lubchenco, to remove a significant fraction of the industrys operators. (emphasis not in original)
Lubchenco - a communist name for a broad that obviously intends communist policies to rule the private fishing industry.
Sadly, this will kill a huge number of jobs in New England, the southern states, California, and likely the hardest hit - Alaska.
Their agenda is out there for all to see - but people do nothing. Of course - few really learn about it, unless they come here, or read the news on the internet. The corrupt Nazi-MSM won't tell you the truth about any of this!
I believe there is a fisheries sub-committee in the House. I wonder who will be in charge?
You’re right on that, the MSM won’t give a hoot about this story. They’ll blame raising food prices on capitalists or something. Without a crisis, how can TSA type goons take over?
I published a book about this over nine years ago. Do you think FReepers paid attention? Not really. They went back to sleep as soon as George W. Bush came in on his white horse to take care of them. Back then, Ron Arnold was still calling people concerned about the UN at Henry Lamb's second Freedom21 conference (at which I was a speaker), "conspiracy freaks."
Not any more!
Yup - I don't doubt that one tiny bit... shortly after Obama declares Martial Law - and the FEMA pukes finally get to do what they've been trained to do.
Thanks Ron C.
Rising food prices will only be part of it... I'm betting that gasoline/diesel fuel prices will double in the not distant future - coupled with a devaluation of the dollar we face a pretty bleak near-immediate future.
Soilent green is us!
Sad to say - we've been watching this head toward major trouble for over two years now - and this coming year we're going to see things really start to fall apart.
I'm just wondering to what extent people are willing to go to break the back of the socialist onslaught we've been suffering since the advent of the Big O. I fear the American people won't have what it will take.
