These people know for a fact that had these rates gone up it would have stopped any kind of economic activity, flat, so they have been forced by the circumstances involving real events to admit and act on the truth

Yeah, Democrats talked all that smack when it's none of their business how much any American makes, yet didn't have the confidence to follow through on raising taxes on the rich because they knew it would crush most economic activity.

Illinois is a good example of how they work.
The Demorat Governor wants small business to come to Illinois..but DAMN them if they become rich, then we must tax them.

No they (the Democrats) haven’t (embraced Reagannomics.). This is to our (the Republicans) political benefit, but the Democrats control the fate of whether they succeed or fail, not the current minority party. If the Democrats passed at the beginning of the President’s term a $1 trillion dollar tax cut by simply cutting the corporate income tax rate, estate tax. Dividends tax, and capital gains tax to 0% permanently, there would have been nothing we could have done and the President would have been reelected in a landslide.

Democrats have surrendered on the tax cut debate, and they’ve surrendered on the Afghanistan war debate, and on Gitmo, and on Renditions, and on Telecom Immunity, and on the Patriot Act.

In contrast, we would have *lost* on each of those issues had McCrazy beaten 0bama in 2008.

Bizarre.

A Reagan redux of It's morning in America is Obama's 2012 campaign plan. Obama's problem has more to do with Obamacare and immigration , The war , Big sis at homeland , even his stupid start treaty is unpopular outside the beltway. The wrong track poll numbers are as bad or worst than the Bush numbers. People know who he is now and they don't like him and the economy won't save him. They just saw him reluctantly sign off on the Bush tax cuts he campaigned against. He won't get credit for the economy. It will be , the economy got better in spite of him and his policies are still bad.

0bama was a “blank slate” in 2008 who ran an ambiguous campaign of “hope and change” which let 0bama say anything to each special interest group.

It worked, but only because the entire news media let it work, and only then because McCrazy was such a poor alternative to 0bama.

2012 won’t have *any* of the above in play. 0bama’s gonna have to run on his record, won’t be able to get away with saying different things to different special interest groups, and his opponent won’t be such a pushover.

Faced with the above, if the Left abandons 0bama, then 0bama will run Right. He won’t cite Reagan (that’s simple misdirection)...he’ll cite Eisenhower.

Knowing the above, the Left might not abandon him.

Unemployment has to drop below 8% for Obama to have a chance of winning in 2012, as it will show failure in his stimulus programs.

Just like the democrats will try to take credit for Iraq, as surreal as that may seem for anyone that knows the track record of that party since 2004 and where Obama stood on this, they will attempt to “rebrand” the BUSH tax cuts and in a way Reaganonmics and make it their own.

Anything bad, make it the opponents, anything good, make it owns own.

Democrats don’t have the confidence to back-up tax cuts for the rich are bad for the economy because there’s no evidence minus their rhetoric, how this gets by state run media is perplexing...

The Demorat Governor wants small business to come to Illinois..but DAMN them if they become rich, then we must tax them.

Blagojevich tried years ago, pushing for higher taxes on trucking companies, until a group of them met with him to remind him that their business was highly mobile and that if he raised their taxes, that they would simply move to a more friendly business state, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Kentucky, all border Illinois, (Michigan too but lets not go there).

Old Rod got the message and quietly dropped those plans.

Oh by the way, a couple of years back the rat legislature here in Illinois was pushing for an income tax raise from 3% to 4% and trying to tell people that "it's only a 1% increase", when in reality it would have been a 33 and 1/3% increase.

Politicians here think everybody in the state is stupid and I gotta admit, they are right about the huge majority of Chicago.

What a victory, the RINOS sold out on DADT. The price was too high. A Pyrrhic victory at best, that cost us the sole of a nation our last lifeline, the military. I find nothing to cheer about.

Well it’s those “well informed” voters of Chicago that scare me.
I live in Michigan City and listen to WLS...so I gets some good info.
