With Christmas only days away, and shopping malls packed, many Americans are scrambling for last minute gift ideas for kids, especially those older children, nephews, and nieces on your list. Heres one idea:
Give the gift of freedom and responsibility a gun.
Most states allow teenagers to own and possess long guns, and those 18 years of age and older to own, possess, and open carry handguns . . .

In NJ, a BB gun is a firearm. Discharging a BB gun in NJ is no different in the eyes of the law than discharging a .454 Casull or a 12ga shotgun.

Got an email from my niece. Her 13 y/o son just got his first buck; a 7 point. He is on cloud nine. That little dude is a crack shot with his 30-06.

I recently mentioned to my wife our two-year-old is “my kid, she’ll be outshooting most cops before she’s twelve.”
“Oh no she won’t” answers she!
“Did that sound like a question to you?” says I!
My oldest who is 14 has a savage bolt hmr .17, Rem. .22 and a Ruger air rifle. My 11 yr. old daughter loves to shoot her 22/45 when I take it out of the safe and we go to the range and my 8 yr. old has a ruger 10/22 which he enjoys shooting.
I have just taught them the rules of shooting and gun safety from the time they could talk. Nothing wrong with a nice firearm for Christmas.
Bought my son a Remington Gamemaster for this Christmas. He will Love it!

Marlin Model 60 for me at 9 also. Still have it and it can still take out a rabbit's eye at 30 yards with el cheapo Thunderbolt ammo.
I got a Sear & Roebuck single-shot .22 cal rifle for Christmas when I was 12 years-old. I have never been unarmed since.
