Environmentalists said Tuesday they intend to sue the Obama administration to force it to restore gray wolves across the lower 48 states even as Republicans in Congress sought unsuccessfully to strip the animals of protection.
The Center for Biological Diversity said in a formal notice to the Interior Department that it will sue the agency in 60 days unless the government crafts a plan to bring back wolves ...

I spotted one crossing a road last fall. At first I thought it was a dog, but then it paused near the guardrail and I realized that it was far too tall to be a dog. When I got closer, I was able to get a good look at it, but it ducked down into the trees before I could get the camera on my cell phone into play.
I like to go hiking but Bernheim Forest, the privately owned nature preserve where I like to go, has a small population of bears and a not so small population of feral pigs, so I always take my 1911A1 with me.
Hell no, Doughty! The Grey Wolves are like just so yesterday, Dude! Today is the tragically endangered Long-Tailed Jumping Mouse of Colorado.
My Maximum Leader, The Mombasa Moonbeam, and I insist that every human being except illegal aliens (of course) immediately be evacuated from Colorado. These little creatures, guardians and monitors of Mother Gaia, need room!
That damned George W. Bush ignored the probem for too long. Thank Allah The All-Knowing for our Saviour, Barack.*&
I now place all of my my fellow infidels in danger of a a fatwa, but I wish everyone yet another (ethanol-powered) Merry Christmas!
*& You don't know this about me, Doughty, but I have a lot in common with Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Ya see, "Barack" was the name of Muhammed's wonder horse. It means "Lucky" in Arabic. As a careless youth, I once owned a wonderful quarter horse named "Lucky." So, The Mombasa Moonbeam and myself are like in synch. In fact, every time he turns and walks off camera, I think of my old horse "Lucky," and what he left behind everywhere he went.
Glad to hear you can and do carry there. Would you get a lot of guff if you did have to kill one of those bears in self-defense?
First, put down the eggnog and step away from the keyboard... LOL
Just kidding.
You know, I like the idea of having wolves and long (and short) tailed rodents running a muck in our wilderness areas. I do however see problems when people enter into the equation, and I’m not convinced those areas are better utilized if humans can’t enter them for fear of losing their life.
As for Obambi, he does leave a trail doesn’t he. Hence my tagline...
Hope yours is a very happy Christmas season.
They had to hire some professional hunters this past year to help with their feral pig problem. They had thought about having a quota hunt, but opted against it. Too bad, I was looking forward to some free bacon and sausage. ;-)
That would have been nice huh.
History repeats itself. Just last night, I was cleaning out some clutter when I came across an old National Review from ‘94. An article within talked about how then-Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt was racing to restore the wolves ahead of the incoming Republican congress. Democrats sure don’t respect elections.
