Olympia Snowe Must Go Now, No really, NOW

Posted on 12/21/2010 2:06:44 PM PST by hausermann

Her DADT and START votes are now a bridge too far. Health Care flirtations and Financial reform gave me indigestion, as did earmarks, but this is as serious as it gets: aiding and abetting our political opponents in an unprecedented un-Americam un-democratic lame-duck cram-down. Those votes make Oly my personal number one electoral target now for 2012. I cannot take the unreliability any more. I would rather see a (D) there from ME (as with CT) than sweat whether she can be wheedled and coerced to see things Rightly.

Somebody please tell me where should I be place my online marketing/technology efforts and/or money to see Oly Snowe challenged and ousted. If we cannot find a national fundraising place online for her specific removal, I will start one of my own.

I saw this, but not sure there is coalescence or if this fellow (no grudge nor brief) is electable, or just another grassroots rushed mistake waiting to happen: http://www.damboiseforsenate.com/

And this: http://paintmainered.ning.com/group/mainersforsnoweremoval OMG the level of web (and spelling) sophisticado is appalling.... I mean really: Ning?

And Maine Refounders on various sub-sites.

ASIDE: Does nobody with conservative credentials understand the web AT ALL? Feel free to call or write if you need help.

Freedom Works and other places have taken no position I can discern. The time is now in the run-up to 2012.

Let me know if it is time for a new site to pass the hat for a challenger to Snowe.

Snowe Removal by Money Bomb if need be.

Trust me, KBH is not "fine". She scuttled the funding for the border fence.

If I am not mistaken, I believe KBH also provided the vote that brought Obamacare out of committee and to the floor.

She didn't vote for cloture, nor for passage of the bill.

But, if she hadn't cast a "Yea" vote in committee, it wouldn't have gotten to the floor.

Her reasoning was that "it was only fair".

Kay Bailey casts a lot of votes based on her own curious and unique assessment of what is "fair". Not "just", not "right", not "legal, not "principled". Just "fair" -- whatever that means.

Sandra Day O'Connor was that way, too...

Really wish the GOP would just eject these RINOs from the party.

Really wish we had unicorns too, because they are highly preferable to plumbium injections. / s

Complete with hair net....I get the picture in HD!

I am concerned for her health actually: Collins’ quavery voice is reminiscent of Katharine Hepburn’s vocal essential tremor, and a minimally observant medical evaluator might consider Parkinsonism or Parkinson’s disease. Nigro-striatal disorders are no joke. I hope it does not impair reasoned judgment.

Most Republicans here in Texas think that KBH needs to be home with her grand kids baking cookies. I agree wholeheartedly, and will work to send her home in 2012.

Have you left yet? If not, why not?

It’s Maine. A RINO is the best you’ll get.

Maybe not. It all depends how well the TEApublican Governor/House/Senate perform by 2012.

Channel your anger at the people that voted for her, and why and if they had any reason to do so. The census has folks leaving NY, NJ, and the corrupt cradle of liberalism; New England (MA, VT, NH, CT, RI.) Remember that Oly has fantasies about Barney Frank, and she wants to write novels.

Gotcha. I stand corrected on KBH. Fence-busting? How does any border Senator justify that? And releasing the biggest step toward socialism from committee out of “fairness”? Does she have no recollection of just how “fair” we were treated in the minority this last go-round? It is not about fair, it is about victory. Ideological slop in service to meaningless ideas like “fairness” is the grit in the gears that destroys entire machines. Despite this set of facts, she kept a low enough profile to not elevate my West Coast ire the way the consistently liberal Maine Twins have done. I am convinced: swap her out.

What happened to make Maine liberal? It isn’t a very populous state.

A bunch of city people.

“I have no idea why Maine elected the left-wing twins, but I can say that two of the most conservative folks I know in Texas are from there.”

My Dad in Oklahoma...the same thing. Maybe all the conservatives moved away over time.

LePage has familial loyalty to Snowe

No, LePage has loyalty to the Snowe family, namely Peter Snowe, her former husband who was killed in a car wreck.

Peter Snowe helped LePage get off the streets and into college.

Birds of a feather...? It's why I moved from California to the Lone Star state. We do seem to find each other.

We also have a LARGE Somali population.

Don't forget that we have a very large "French" population. That's where LePage, Michaud, Levesque and many others came from. LePage is the first Franco to have been elected to statewide office in Maine.

I am convinced: swap her out.

The sense is that KBH will retire when her term expires.

The line has already formed on the right to replace her -- and we're not without attractive conservatives.

My father passed away due to complications of Parkinson's disease. In some people it does affect their judgment.

Voinovich and Bennett are gone at the end of this session.

The Alaskan SC just ruled against Joe Miller and the rule of law and FOR the cow from Alaska.
