They PROBABLY are not assault rifles - most likely they are semiautos. But who knows? Still way better than a handgun!

They don't need group therapy mode. It's pretty useless anyway, for most circumstances. And the modern version is 3 round bursts.

I did use a full automatic AR-15 in basic, decades ago, it had the old three prong flash suppressor.
