Lakin Sentenced
1545: Sentence announced. Dismissal, confinement for 6 months, total forfeitures.
****Lose ones commission and benefits for life for this cause? Not worth it.****
He determined this to be a cause greater than himself. That is called ‘courage’.
Arlington is not the dead letter file of the Post Office!!!
Except that the guy in question is an officer.
Heh heh. Birther threads are much like chem-trails threads. They keep the wackjobs occupied.
Those 'cowards' being the rest of the members of the U.S. miliatary I assume?
"Birthers continue to pose one ridiculous scenario after another in an attempt to obtain a different answer - an answer with which they agree. And ...Isnt that the definition of insanity? Repeating the same action and expecting a different result?"
Such behavior, minus the false deprecations you presumecated upon the efforts, is indeed the mark of genius, resolve, steadfastness, leadership in crisis and even first rank genius.
On October 29, 1941 Winston Churchill said to the student body assembled at Harrow School:
"Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty--never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
The founder of Honda Motors noted the following :
"People see my success is only one percent. But, they do not see my 99% failure "
American inventor and entrepreneur Thomas Edison agreed with that:
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
Are you also questioning the legitimacy of every order given in every branch of service since January 2009?
YES.
I post this to inform that sadly, no it was not so for most. It was easy. Following brutal orders mindlessly is easy. History shows that again and again.
America is a most fortunate place, it was founded by those, who while committed to the Law (of Nature's God) and an orderly moral society, were of a nature where they strongly refused to mindlessly follow orders.
Maybe I am projecting myself into their situation, as you say. For me it would be an incredibly gut-wrenching time. For the people who made assassination attempts on Hitler (what were there? 17 different attempts?) I’m sure it was gut-wrenching.
Maybe for the rest it was just inconvenient that the smell of burning flesh spoiled the mood of their tea party.
There were not even 10 righteous people in Sodom, and Lot’s immediate family had more than 10 in it. So maybe you’re right. Maybe for such heinous things to be accepted it must have been the easiest road to just go along with it.
That’s how we ended up with the financial crash too - too many people thinking that EVERYBODY couldn’t be wrong. And the whole philosophy of “too big to fail” only feeds the idea that as long as the whole herd is together there is no need to worry about it walking off the cliff.
All of the cases that you mention were filed after Obama’s name was certified on the ballot. They sued the SOS for failing to do her job. The damage was done at that point.
No forward progress in an investigation of Boyd Richie, Chair of the TDP. No grand jury duty notices as of yet.
Good luck with that.
I agree. With the stacked deck now, oaths are honored by “jailed” patriots. And certainly, no politicians honor them or judges it seems.
Many of those attempts to kill Hitler were driven by pride in Germany’s war-like military-like nature, in that Hitler was running the war poorly. Little to do with the fate of the Untermenschen such as the Jews.
This is not unlike how many here. all opposing Obama — including the MANY pundits who are reading this every thread — have refused to speak well, or at all, of the sub-human idiots known as ‘Birthers’.
We do seemed loaded with attorneys (even here at FR)that have so much respect for the legal system that the founding document is so easily shredded and forgotten. We don’t even have one judge that will grant “discovery” on the Kenyan. A country is so easily enslaved it makes you wonder. One of the earlier comments seems to apply here in the USA “if you squeeze my balls hard enough, I will admit to being Marilyn Monroe”.
>Except that the guy in question is an officer.
Irrelevant to the case you posited which, to quote from your Post #101, was “If you believe that POTUS is invalid then you resign. Period.”
Resignation is NOT an option that is available to the enlistee [who has a legal contract with the government].
>Heh heh. Birther threads are much like chem-trails threads. They keep the wackjobs occupied.
Are you calling me a ‘wackjob’?
I’ll have you know that I was actually a serviceman who was both enlisted [E4] and doubted the Constitutional eligibility* of Obama to be president (and therefore commander-in-chief); the only real option open to me was to simply allow my contract to expire as 1) my chain of command would, as in LTC Lakin’s chain-of-command’s case, not address the issue at hand, and 2) again, as in LTC Lakin’s case be punished.
*I doubted Obama’s eligibility prior to the election; Obama’s actions have only solidified my skepticism.
ok
The courts have denied us the fundamental common law right to quo warranto; the Congress has not challenged the eligibility of the Kenyan usurper; it is unsurprising then that it falls to a decorated veteran to say quo warranto, is Obama eligible to command our armed forces?
Winston Churchill wrote in his magisterial History of the English-Speaking Peoples about quo warranto and how powerful a device it was in the hands of Charles II: "The Whig corporations were asked by writs of Quo Warranto to prove their title to their long-used liberties. These titles were found in many cases, to the satisfaction of the royal judges, to be defective. Under these pressures large number of hitherto hostile corporations threw themselves under the mercy of the Crown..."
We have been denied that same common law right by our courts.
A decorated veteran has now said: "Show us where you are eligible to serve as our Commander-in-Chief", and the Kenyan usurper has responded with utter contempt for this man's concerns and this man's honorable service to our country.
The corrosive effect on military morale caused by any question about the very eligibility of the Commander-in-Chief to serve in that position is profound. History shows that such corrosion is utter poison in the veins of any country.
The Kenyan usurper has had years to present clear and convincing evidence of his natural born citizenship. He has failed to do so, and it is evident that he cannot.
ok, but that doesn’t change anything that happened.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
sure
Things aren’t always as they should be.
