'Birther' reverses course, says he would deploy [Terrence Lakin]

Lakin is like the young boy who jumps from the trench and runs straight into fire and whips the grenade at the enemy, after being pinned down for hours. Everyone in the trench is hoping he hits his mark, but no one wants to die on that field. And when that boy who charged the field is shot down, and cries for his mother, some of the guys in the trench will shake their heads and call him a stupid bastard. It takes all kinds.

A more apt analogy is that Lakin is the guy who announces to the world that he is going to attack a fortified enemy position while wearing a clown suit and armed only with water balloons. The rational people plead with him not to do this, that it won't end well while the birthers, hiding behind their conspiracy blogs cheer him on and call him a patriot.

The quite inevitable conclusion of Lakin being cut to pieces in his clown suit happens, the people who predicted this and tried to warn against it aren't the least bit surprised while the birthers who encouraged such a foolish act from the safety of their keyboards are despondent and outraged.

With the equivalent of a felony conviction, he may lose his license. I doubt that they'll let him practice while incarcerated, in any event.

I feel sorry for Dr. Lakin, the US military is clearly not the honorable institution it once was. The birther’s question of where is Obozo’s real birth certificate needs to be answered. But another critical and just as important question that addresses the viable standing of our constitutional republic is where the hell was and is congress on doing their job to verify Obozo’s eligibility?

You seem to be on the wrong forum.

The military has never looked kindly on those members who volunteered for service and then tried to weasel out of a deployment and most certainly has never looked kindly on officers who pick and choose what orders they will obey and what orders they will not. I can't imagine anyone who has ever served would have difficulty understanding this.

I realize people are upset that Lakin's political stunt, as predicted by those who know what they're talking about, did not have the outcome that others naively hoped for, but to conclude that this outcome diminishes the honor of our military is disgraceful.

I guess Mr. Lakin thought the rule of law would prevail, but we do live in lawless times. Our president sign laws that are unconstitutional, refuses to prosecute black people who go to polls with billy clubs to intimidate voters. This isn't surprising. Obama had the opportunity to show a BC to the Army and put an experienced doctor on the field of battle, by prodcuing a 10 dollar BC. Couldn’t do it. 16 men shot up on the field that day, and Obama has the doctor at Fort Mead?

Drew, really, who is the Clown? Think about it and get back to me. Think about Obama sitting in that office watching a basketball game and the 16 soldiers charging that hill getting pumped with bullets, and their medic sitting at Fort Mead waiting for a BC.

Col Lakin is a broken man who will likely tomorrow lose both his freedom and his hard-earned pension, an outcome predicted months ago by many on this forum who would be denigrated as “O-bots” and trolls by the very people promoting the half-baked conspiracies and dubious legal strategies that brought ruin to Lakin.

The earlier above comment is so sad, so very, very sad. It truly is a sad day when those behind scenes have placed the son of a Kenyan in a position to destroy our constitution and our military without anyone being able to do anything about it.

I humble myself and ask the Lord Jesus to please heal our land and bless his people including Col. Lakin.
