..Lakin gets prison.
NOT an even playing field.
Like too many, you have missed the point. Those in our military have taken an oath to DEFEND OUR CONSTITUTION. OUR CONGRESS did not and has not yet done it’s job to vet OBOZO and with all the money he has spent to hide his past and has yet to produce his real bc, he obviously has something to hide. What? Since the congress missed it and is now complicit in this mess our military should be first in demanding to verify Obozos eligibility to serve as president. Look at the rules of engagement he has instituted on our troops, the top brass are complying and an increase of troop injury and death is the result. Our military is next to the last bastion of preserving our freedom and they need to adhere to their oath to defend our constitution and they aren’t doing it. The dishonor is on those who fail to uphold their oath and follow BLINDLY. Lt Col Lakin took a stand on this issue and for that he demonstrated that he takes his oath seriously. That, in my mind is worthy of honorable man.
Exactly.
Lakin will probably not get prison. Just my guess.
Agreed.
I hope the truth is not too painful for you. lol
Evidently the truth is painful for you since you felt compelled to strike through a true statement.
That wasn’t the issue at all, and that’s where Lakin made his mistake.
He thought the issue was the birth of Obama.
The issue was did he or did he not miss movement. Those of us with military experience tried to say that months ago, but we were shouted down.
If they had charged him with insult to his commander, then he might have been able to get his info in (which I kind of doubt.)
They kept it simple. They charged him with missing movement. He did. It’s indisputable that he did. And sadly, a good man is going down for a lapse in judgment.
I still hold out hope they’ll be lenient with him.
Your complete lack of understanding is painful. Your denial does not alter the facts.
You gotta figure this guy is really bright to make it through pre-med, med-school, residency, practice, military career, surgical training, etc.
I suspect, though, and I haven't looked at a bio on him, that he must never have commanded. That would have put him in touch.
Beyond that, his innate intelligence should have told him this was a really questionable move on his part.
How do you be around the military that many years and not know this stuff?
If you should come across more info on this, would you please let me know? Thanks, padre.
The fact is that President Stitch Lips has failed to prove his constitutional eligibility. The fact is that Lakin is held to a standard that requires him to submit a legal birth certificate. Stitch Lips was not. You crossed out a statement that was factually true and now all you have is ad hominem, but pointless commentary.
He knew it was a questionable move and took a calculated gamble. It's stupid to suggest he didn't know he was taking a risk.
I’m thinking that a deployment order is more in the nature of a human resouces issue than act act of war issue. He was being moved from one. Facility to another. He was not being asked to engage in battle. Had he been ordered into a combat situation, he could have claimed conscientious objector status which might have gotten him booted from the military, but at least he would have had a chance to put on a defense. Here he was being moved from one location to another, which is an administrative order and not an executive order.
Just my thoughts.
But all last summer he had time to golf, eat lobster at Martha's Vineyard, etc.
The 16 soldiers produced their certificates, made their way all the way to Afghanistan, and then got shot.
Lakin produced his BC , went to trial, and is going to Jail.
And O? O got to play basketball and tell Americans that we are the enemy and still refuses to show his records.
So what did we gain? We gained some knowledge about our CIC.
We now know that Obama will, and has, put troops in danger rather than release his qualifying records.
Now I ask you, is that an impeachable offense? Is he qualified to serve? Be honest.
Lakin's issue has been resolved; now the eligibility issue must be resolved. Whining about Lakin will will not resolve the eligibility question.
Up til a few years ago, the military was treating AWOL, and even desertion, as simply an administrative discharge issue. They might hold you in the brig ‘til the legal hurdles to kick you out were cleared — and that more to keep you from running again than anything else. (Although, they felt no compulsion to expite anyone...foot-dragging was real possible, so sometimes brig time might be 3-4 months.)
Missing movement was being treated as AWOL/Desertion. I don’t know that they’re still that lenient, since we’ve been at war for a number of years now, and and wear-n-tear on deployed troops might have caused patience and leniency to wear out. Understandably.
However, it was being treated as an admin issue. In wartime, it can be much worse. That doesn’t mean the military really wants to devote the time or resources toward pushing a hardnose attitude toward missing movement.
My guess is that it’s still administrative. If so, then the only thing that would get Lakin more punished than others would be his rank and the visibility of his case.
That would be unfair, but it also wouldn’t be that unfair...given his rank.
