(Video at link) A Florida high school basketball game turns into a wrestling match after a player body-slammed a referee on the court.
The incident, which was caught on video, shows Desoto High School player Mason Holland, identified by the Fort Myers News-Press, losing his cool after getting ejected during a game against Port Charlotte High School on Monday. He then took his aggression out on the referee, throwing him to the ground.
The refs refused to continue to officiate the game after the incident, giving Port Charlotte a forfeit win.

mmm mmm mmm
I think the Ref should bring Assault charges against this thug.
The PC Libtards have coddled the children to the point that their parents are terrified to discipline them. The kids can do ANYTHING, and they know it. So, if you don’t like the call a Ref makes, hey why not take a swing at him.
Mommy’s Precious Little Baby can do no wrong.
I say, send him a clear message. Perhaps some ‘shower time’ in jail will teach him what his parents and peers failed to teach him.
You have to talk to people in a language they understand. Lecturing a rabid dog about the evils of biting is a waste of time. So, you teach a thug in a language he can understand. If that language means being abused by bigger thugs - I can live with that.
Prolly will
This means, I sure you are aware, teaching the "tougher half" that what it does is just fine and dandy. Now are you sure you want that language book out?
My youngest daughter played HS Varsity basketball. I really learned to hate basketball even more than I already did. It was obvious, in some games, that their biggest challenge was not the opposing teams, but the refs calls.
I’m pretty fair minded when it comes to sports. I never cared whether her team won or lost. I would rather they played a really good game and lost than played poorly and just beat a team that played more poorly. But in some games, the biggest challenge was getting past refs that would make OBVIOUS “equalizing” calls. It was sometimes incredibly demoralizing.
The good news is it teaches the girls to not respect authority. They learn just how fallible authority figures can be.
The ref “acted stupidly.” Obviously.

LLS

Sounds like the ‘kid’ can skip college ball and get a high-dollar contract with the Gangsta-Ball NBA.
Them excitable Amish at it again?

Would you think the same way if your daughters had thought the same way about your authority?
Even if this happens, it won't be a "hate" crime.
Racist comment on FR? Who'd of thought?
