Bill OReilly recently talked with frequent Fox News guest Charles Krauthammer to handicap potential GOP candidates chances in the 2012 presidential election. Krauthammer called Mitt Romney the front-runner and said Mike Huckabee has established himself as a major player but his most dissected comments will probably be his remarks on one Sarah Palin.
Krauthammer compared Palins problem to Hillary Clintons in the late 1990s strong support from her core base, virulent opposition from most others. OReilly asked if the level of opposition to Palin is the medias fault, and while Krauthammer said theyve contributed enormously and that the animus to her is unprecedented, he also allowed that she is not practiced in policy and that the infamous Katie Couric interview was not a gotcha interview. According to Krauthammer, Palins growth in mastering policy issues will shape her fate:
I think if you want to expand your base, you have to get into policy even though it sounds dull.

Hahahahahaha
Deep breath
Hahahahahaha
Apparently, you missed that "Last Detour" sign quite a ways back.
We don't need another policy wonk wading around the wreckage at the bottom of the gorge wondering what happened.
We need a leader with the vision and principles to rebuild from this wreck, and get back on track. That is where Sarah Palin leads the field; and the other nobodies don't have a clue, and couldn't speak the truth about anything if they did have a clue.
I couldn't disagree with you more.
Because of the media blitz she has created a sleeping time bomb where she will win so big it will send shock waves around the world.
ROFL
...as is O´Reilly in general.
Don’t worry Chuck. I’m sure she will be ready plenty.
Hi Pissant, still on your “I hate Sarah Palin Rant?”. LOL
Post on.
Reagan has been so rehabilitated that even the Left in this country try to claim him as their own. But at the time, he was vilified as an idiot, an amiable dunce, a dangerous lunatic - and that’s just the nice stuff! All the crap they are throwing at Sarah today, they threw at Reagan yesterday.
People also forget that Reagan’s press conferences (in those days, they were regularly scheduled) were nail-biting experiences. I was a huge supporter of his but I remember those truly uncomfortable events where he would stumble verbally and get specific details wrong. The press would have a field day correcting his mistakes.
Oh, and Larry recently threw her under the bus so I doubt she’ll be calling him up any time soon.
Joe Miller may have been the best Senate candidate in the nation this year (when you consider his conservative bona fides, military background, education, & overall knowledge).
Sarah couldn’t even convince the people of her own state to put Murkows*^! out to pasture.
I pinged everyone on that thread up to that point in time to give them a HEADS-UP about Dr. Krauthammer.
Gun-grabber Charles Krauthammer should expand his own policy knowledge with respect to the Second Amendment...
Now that there’s funny. LOL
This was the speech that Hillary Clinton had a conniption about and blocked Palin from delivering in NY when Ahmadinenutjob was at the UN.
Sorry, that was Joe's job.
DYS
Kraut claims obozo is brilliant yet never gives an example of why he says that? When he doesn’t have a telecrutch he sounds like an idiot. He seems to go along w/beltway groupthink.
Merry Christmas
Glad you had a laugh.
Now, refute it.
Sarah would definitely use Bolton along with many other capable, conservatives.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a president who selected good cabinet members and staff instead of Chicago cronies and communists?
Do you keep a stash of platitudes at the ready?
Paul Ryan has serious & detailed ideas (which Sarah has endorsed). It’s time to go Coolidge on the federal budget & specifics must be laid out. Entitlements, income & corporate tax rates, defense. No sacred cows.
Krauthammer is an elitist snob and card carrying member of the Washington Establishment. He holds Palin in contempt, and he held Reagan in contempt as well (writing speeches for Walter Mondale) until he began to suck up to him in 1985, coining terms like the Reagan doctrine. Palin was right about death panels and Kraut was wrong. And he is wrong about a lot of things that have to do with conservatism in general and Reagan in particular.
Palin, Reagan and Obama, according to Krauthammer

The Establishment fears and hates Palin because she does not need them, in the same way that Andrew Jackson and Ronald Reagan did not need them. Jackson and Reagan were populists but not the pro-government socialist variety (like Huey Long) who wanted to redistribute wealth. Both Jackson and Reagan saw the central government as the problem and they sought to pare it back and return power to the states and to the people.
Like Jackson and Reagan, Palins appeal is to the common people whom the elites in Washington and New York do not understand and in fact despise. Her popularity does not depend on elite approval, and the elites hold her in the highest contempt as they did Jackson and Reagan. For a peek into the Establishment groupthink on Reagan, see the excerpt from a taped conversation of President Nixon and Henry Kissinger on Reagan in 1971 (when he was in his second term as Governor of California):
President Nixon: Whats your evaluation of Reagan after meeting him several times now.
Kissinger: Well, I think hes aactually I think hes a pretty decent guy.
President Nixon: Oh, decent, no question, but his brains
Kissinger: Well, his brains, are negligible. I
President Nixon: Hes really pretty shallow, Henry.
Kissinger: Hes shallow. Hes got no...hes an actor. HeWhen he gets a line he does it very well. He said, Hell, people are remembered not for what they do, but for what they say. Cant you find a few good lines? [Chuckles.] Thats really an actors approach to foreign policyto substantive....
President Nixon: Ive said a lot of good things, too, you know damn well.
Kissinger: Well, that too.
Later in the 24-minute-long discussion, the two discussed the possibility of Reagan running for president:
President Nixon: Can you think though, Henry, can you think, though, that Reagan with certain forces running in the direction could be sitting right here?
Kissinger: Inconceivable.
So much for Kissingers powers of prognostication. As they were finishing upafter discussing other mattersNixon slammed Reagan again:
President Nixon: Back to Reagan though. It shows you how a man of limited mental capacity simply doesnt know what the _______ is going on in the foreign area. Hes got to know that on defensedoesnt he know these battles we fight and fight and fight? G-n it, Henry, weve been at
Kissinger: And I told himhe said, Why dont you fire the bureaucracy? I said, Because there are only so many battles we can fight. We take on the bureaucracy now, theyre going to leak us to death. Name me one thing that we have done that the bureaucracy made us do.
President Nixon: The bureaucracy has had nothing to do with anything.
Kissinger: No, no. Theyve made our lives harder. Theyve driven us crazy. But that doesnt affect him.

Shallow, negligible brains, limited mental capacity? These are the cuss words the Establishment has applied to Jackson, Reagan and now to Palin. And it stems mainly from the fact that she will not kiss their ring and that she does not need to. She is building an electoral coalition of committed conservatives such as those who pushed Goldwater to the fore fused with working class voters who admire her for non ideological, often intangible, reasons such as her courage, her decency, her ability to connect with them as an average person and her firecracker hot charisma.
That electoral coalition is poised to propel her into the White House at a relatively young age and to secure her place not only in history but on the American political scene for perhaps the next three decades.
One thing about a Palin candidacy is the MSM will have no ammo left on Palin. They have already investigated her upside down and sideways and basically found nothing.
All they have now is lies as per the AP headline about her taking her hairdresser to Haiti when it was obviously her daughter pinning up a loose lock.
