Bill OReilly recently talked with frequent Fox News guest Charles Krauthammer to handicap potential GOP candidates chances in the 2012 presidential election. Krauthammer called Mitt Romney the front-runner and said Mike Huckabee has established himself as a major player but his most dissected comments will probably be his remarks on one Sarah Palin.
Krauthammer compared Palins problem to Hillary Clintons in the late 1990s strong support from her core base, virulent opposition from most others. OReilly asked if the level of opposition to Palin is the medias fault, and while Krauthammer said theyve contributed enormously and that the animus to her is unprecedented, he also allowed that she is not practiced in policy and that the infamous Katie Couric interview was not a gotcha interview. According to Krauthammer, Palins growth in mastering policy issues will shape her fate:
I think if you want to expand your base, you have to get into policy even though it sounds dull.

Except...I think I can watch BOR now at the 11pm EST rerun...
Nobody is.
But which candidate is most likely to pick Bolton to head the NSA or to be Secretary of State?
Thanks AL B. for the idea.
I’ll do just that.
I like Dr. Krauthammer.
Obviously, you have not read her two books, nor any of her dozens of published articles.
Hehe, gotta say I like what you did there. LOL!!!
When Krauthammer says policy, he means to get with the program. The elites' "policy" is second verse, same as the first. That's old thinking. We're not going to Washington, DC to sing in their chorus. Sarah Palin brings a new beat to the dance. She is just fine on policy. Her record proves it. Those who can't dance to the new beat can just sit down and shut the hell up! ;-)

“...In 1978, Krauthammer quit medical practice to direct planning in psychiatric research for the Jimmy Carter administration, and began contributing to The New Republic magazine. During the presidential campaign of 1980, Krauthammer served as a speech writer to Vice President Walter Mondale....”

I think the Christian way to help an ally is to provide constructive criticisms directly to the recipient rather than to publish it in the media.
But, Chuck is not Sarah's ally.
He also likes Mitt.
Nuff said.
Your comment makes a lot of sense. I don't think you will last here very long.
:-) Have a good evening!
I wish he'd do some psychiatric research into why folks like he and Karl Rove dumped all over Christine O'Donnell on the night of her primary victory.
Could be. I think he’s lost his crush on Bambi since 2008.
I feel sorry for any poor, unhappy, conflicted soul who came to Sour Kraut for treatment!
Can you guarantee independents in Ohio, Florida, Virginia, et al will flock to Palin?
We are on the road to financial ruin. The bond vigilantes are warming up, there is way too much chatter a/b decoupling oil from the $, & our reserve currency status can no longer be taken for granted. The “R” candidate in ‘12 must have the fiscal vocabulary & acumen to expose Barry as a rank amateur hack. Like it or not, Sarah will not be able to “You betcha” her way to 1600 Penn. Ave.
And they would not be with Sarah, who had more executive experience than Obama, Biden and John McCain put together, in the last election.
As far as doing serious grown up work, what the heck does that mean? She's run a business, put herself through college, been a small town mayor, and the Governor of a huge state. She knows how to shoot, fish, gut, clean a rifle, ride an ATV, have five kids, and stay married for almost 25 years.
So what serious grown up work are you talking about?
By the way, welcome to Free Republic, newb.
