An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questions Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has pleaded guilty to 1 of 2 charges against him.

At a court-martial proceeding Tuesday in Maryland, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin of Greeley, Colo., pleaded guilty to not meeting with a superior when ordered to do so and not showing up at Fort Campbell in Kentucky where he was supposed to report.

Don’t get mad at the military. They are you neighbors, friends and family members. They are doing what they are suppose to do and that is follow orders. Trust me most of them are conservatives that love this country. Unfortunately, they have to follow the UCMJ.

If you want to direct your anger it should be at all three branches of government. That is where the problem is at.

"Still making stuff up, eh Sven?"

But, it's done with such conviction that you almost believe it, almost.

I have never in my life had to struggle so much with the temptation to hate, as I am struggling right now. I keep telling myself it’s the sin. It’s the sin I hate. The sin is as stinking as a rotting corpse. I want so badly to say, “God, damn Obama. God, damn Puckett. God, damn Lind.”

God, damn sin and everyone who refuses to repent of it. This is what You died for. This is why You had to suffer hell, because there is real, rotten, stinking sin that has control over this world and has infected every one of us in this world. Sin that clings to us and would ruin Heaven if it was allowed to enter There. I want to hit Obama, Puckett, and Lind. I want to sear them with burning acid until the smirk on their damned faces burns into oblivion. I want them to get what they deserve for what they are doing to Lakin, to this country, and to all of us who love both Lakin and this country.

Remind me, Lord, that this sin - this mockery of justice, these lies, and the trollish laughter at all this is good and right - these sins, in the election and since, in this court-martial, and here at FR - these sins were smeared on You. The Father threw You out of His presence in disgust at THESE SINS that You willingly bore, that You willingly confessed as Your own even though You knew they were not. The Father has already burned You with acid for these sins.

God, I can’t stand it. Lakin is standing before a corrupt Pilate and being told to lie, to convince Pilate of a lie. To love country enough to lie for her. God, I can’t stand it. Hold Lakin and his family in the middle of this darkness. Hold me in the middle of this darkness. Hold all of us who can see this for what it is. And send the Hound of Heaven after those who can’t, that they would be brought to repentance. Remind us all that there will be a Day when what is hidden will be revealed and those who have loved the truth will be vindicated. In the meantime, hold us close and make us wise and effective. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I don’t want to spit on anybody who recognized the enemy and fought valiantly.

I want to spit on the US military who ARE the enemy. The domestic enemies that officers swear to defend the US Constitution from.

And already, the military judge has said that the Constitutional status of the President is irrelevant to combat orders. That’s a scary precedent right there.

If that's the case, then why not just go through with the trial, be found guilty, and then start the appeals process? At the very least the government would be forced to show its evidence that proves that 0bama is legally qualified to serve as President.

Of course, if the government has no such proof, that will also come out at trial. And if he is still convicted, then he'd have grounds for appeal.

My reasoning is that by even starting this process, this man's military career became effectively finished anyway. If the difference of each possible outcome would be just a change in the size of the cell in which he'll serve his sentence, or the length of that sentence, then there is no good reason to give up if indeed the government has no case. Now he's essentially going on the record and saying the government was right.

I think for most of us, this should end any questions people may have had regarding 0bama's eligibility. While a different outcome would have been preferred, it just has to be accepted that he is eligible, and that it is done with.

The MCM isn’t even being PRETENDED to be followed.

My nephew was just commissioned in the USMC last spring. Another nephew is graduating from basic training in the US Army in another week. My sister’s brother-in-law is a chaplain deployed to Afghanistan right now. I have always loved and respected the military and the people who serve.

The people perpetrating this garbage are not worthy to be in the same room with the rank and file who are faithfully doing their duties.

Obama himself signed a document to get on the ballot in Arizona that required him to state that he is a “natural born citizen of the United States.”

I wish you would have posted that long ago and ended all the controversy. Wow! Obozo said is NBC on a standard form. What more could anyone need?

Here’s to this case getting fast tracked to SCOTUS.

I don’t even know the mechanism by which it does.... how does the Military JAG work with regards to that?

“At the very least the government would be forced to show its evidence that proves that 0bama is legally qualified to serve as President.”
__

“At the very least”? No, at the very least, the Army would prevail in its contention that Lakin’s orders were legal even if the President were ineligible. If that holding were upheld, then any eligibility evidence would remain completely irrelevant.

Since that holding is dictated by law — even Neal Puckett agrees — there’s really no point in provoking a stiffer punishment.

This makes me want to spit on the United States military.

Then you don't belong on Free Republic.

Why don't you go back to North Korea, or wherever you came from.

The government never would have gone to trail if there was the slightest chance LTC Lakin would be given discovery with anything remotely related to Obama.

No, this only reveals that the military is guilty.

Hawaii has no legally valid birth certificate for Obama. That is a fact. Every court in the world can sidestep that fact but it is what it is. All these court cases show us is how corrupt the system is.

Later, Obama stopped being a legal resident of the U.S. and became a naturalized citizen of the U.S.

If he did that, there is a file in the public record in the federal courthouse where he was naturalized. Just go to the clerk's office and copy the file.

I no longer see Lakin as a hero, nor do I see him as being martyred by “his lawyer.” He could have stood courageously for the Constitution. A lawyer can’t plead for a Defendant. It was Lakin’s choice to plead guilty.
