An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questions Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has pleaded guilty to 1 of 2 charges against him.

At a court-martial proceeding Tuesday in Maryland, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin of Greeley, Colo., pleaded guilty to not meeting with a superior when ordered to do so and not showing up at Fort Campbell in Kentucky where he was supposed to report.

“The best thing Puckett, or any attorney could have done was to make Lakin’s landing as soft as possible.”

Nonsense. There is no basis for your claim that Puckett made “Lakin’s landing as soft as possible.”

HELLO! LAKIN HAS NOT BEEN SENTENCED YET!

For all you know, olddeck, Lind will give Lakin the maximum sentence on both counts.

Competent lawyers do not plead their clients guilty without an agreement on the terms of the sentence. Get a clue, olddeck.

On the face of it, Obama’s orders appear to be legitimate to most in the military or they don’t want to challenge him and thereby put their careers on the line and that’s fine. However, the Lakin has chosen to challenge his order that has originated from the Executive. Lakin has been denied a vigorous defense under Article 46 and the Manual for Court Martial, rule 701 for discovery. It certainly looks like the government knows or is afraid of what may be found...so deny Lakin a full and vigorous defense. I don’t have much doubt under these circumstance that Lakin will be found guilty, but he has chosen that path. As for Obama, I have confidence he will in time be officially exposed as an usurper.

We wonder our whole lives long how those people were able to swallow this. Well, now we have our teachable moment. Those people in GErmany were not monsters. They were honorable people trying to do the right thing. And they thought obeying their orders was the right thing. If they had challenged the lawfulness of the orders - even here in the US right now - they would have been charged with crimes for not doing as they were told. I apologize for saying I felt like spitting on the US military.

Is that how you apologize, butterdezillion-- by comparing our military to Nazi executioners? Some apology.

It does not matter what plane he refused to board the offense is missing movement during wartime which according to the UCMJ is a capital offense and he can be executed for doing so.

"For all you know, olddeck, Lind will give Lakin the maximum sentence on both counts."

Lind won't be sentencing Lakin to anything, his jury panel will be doing the sentencing.

If you're going to argue that "someone get a clue", I might suggest that you have one yourself, just saying.

Look, Lakin disobeyed a lawful order. He was making a POLITICAL protest. He was wrong to do so. It’s just plain stupid to continue defending his POLITICAL stunt after he admits his guilt.

The 20th Amendment says that if the President elect “fails to qualify” by Jan 20th the VP elect is to “act as President until a President shall have qualified”.

Lakin and everybody else in this country deserves to have an answer to whether Obama “failed to qualify” by Jan 20, 2009.

Since the Hawaii DOH has made a statutory admission that Obama’s BC is amended, and since Hawaii law says that an amended BC has no inate probative value, even Obama’s age is legally undetermined at this point. How could he have qualified by Jan 20th if nobody even to this day can legally say how old he is?

Aren’t we a wee bit past January 20, 2009? I just looked at a calender, and yes, indeed, that date is passed.

Wouldn’t some court, any court have to rule on whether Obama’s birth documents are amended or not in order for that allegation to have any significance?

Instead we’ve got US District Court Judges making statements like: “A spurious claim questioning the President’s constitutional legitimacy may be protected by the First Amendment, but a court’s placement of its imprimatur upon a claim that it is so lacking in factual support that it is frivolous would undoubrdly disserve the public interest.”—U.S. District Court Judge Clay R. Land in dismissing Rhodes v MacDonald. Judge Land’s decision was upheld by the Supreme Court when both Justice Thomas and Justice Alito and then the whole Court refused to enjoin the $20,000 in sanctions that Judge Land imposed on Orly Taitz in this lawsuit.

Where do these fallacies come from? The maximum punishment for Art. 87 is two-years confinement, dishonorable discharge/dismissal and forfeiture of all pay and allowances, period.

Let me show you what is acceptible:

“I acted stupidly. I let my emotions get the best of me. Our military is comprised of honorable men and women who bear no responsibility for the crimes of the POTUS. I deeply regret my statement regarding spitting on the military and do hereby apologize to all FReeper vets, especially those from the Vietnam era who were actually spit upon.

Humbly and Sincerely,
butterdezillion”

Those who fail to understand history are doomed to repeat it.

The Germans were good Christian people. How did they allow the senseless slaughter of so many people? How did they tolerate the smell of burning flesh without doing anything to stop it?

Those are questions well worth answering. And I have to say that the past 2 years have given some staggering answers.

I am not saying that our military is Nazi. I am saying that the same reasoning that would have excused almost everything the Nazis did is being used by our military experts to explain why Lakin’s only job is to shut up and do what he’s told - regardless of whether it is against the Constitution, laws, regulations, and the customs of the military.

Not appear to be, they were lawful orders. Shit happens when officers decide to disobey lawful orders especially if based on unproven POLITICAL conspiracy theory. Officers should know better than to trust the advice of sea lawyers.

OK. That I can do.

I acted stupidly. I let my emotions get the best of me. Our military is comprised of honorable men and women who bear no responsibility for the crimes of the POTUS. I deeply regret my statement saying I felt like spitting on the military and do hereby apologize to all FReeper vets, especially those from the Vietnam era who were actually spit upon and those who received hostile treatment because of their service in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I pray that we all will work together to see the US Constitution upheld.

Humbly and Sincerely,
butterdezillion

If the plane Lakin was ordered to get on as the first leg of his combat deployment would have been destined for Iran would the orders have been lawful? Why or why not?

He was denied the right to discovery...

oddly enough the same way almost all of the cases trying to determine if Obama is eligible have also been denied the same sort of discovery.

Isn’t that one of the very basic principles of our law system, that we are allowed to subpoena those documents that can prove what we believe to be true, and in a court of law show cause why we believe certain things to be true.

simple question...

Do you believe that Obama is eligible for the office he now holds?
