Obama's detractors seem to believe he is either an incompetent pawn in over his head as president or an evil mastermind directing an international conspiracy to subvert America.
The fact is that Barack Hussein Obama II was an Illinois state senator of little notice or importance who managed to win election to the U.S. Senate in 2004, where he remained undistinguished. Obama has benefited from staged rhetorical skills dependent on the availability of a teleprompter and the perception that he embodied the culmination of left-wing values in an electable package. As his presidency has progressed, his lack of experience and basic knowledge of the political process have been on full display for all to see.
Against this backdrop, it's hard to imagine that Obama is an evil genius in league with George Soros to destroy America. In this scenario, an international cabal of progressive radicals financed by Soros has managed to fool America into electing Obama president, whereupon Obama works behind the scenes to institute the radical progressive agenda under the veneer of a centrist Democrat.
Soros also figures prominently in the incompetent pawn scenario as the evil puppeteer pulling Obama's strings to accomplish Soros's nefarious plans. Here, Obama is an amateur politician who has bought into the radical progressive agenda as a path to power without developing the skills needed to successfully govern, who takes his orders from the likes of Soros in an attempt to look intellectual and presidential.

I think the author of this article essentially gives no answer to his own question, other than a vague statement that Obama is inept but has been used by various factions of the left - which does not explain in any way how such an incompetent got boosted from position to position all of his life, and somehow managed to get to the top of the heap in virtually no time at all and with absolutely no achievements or even track record.
The thing that is missing is that Obama himself actually does have an agenda and that is what keeps him going. But it’s not the same agenda as that held by the people who have made him and paid his way.
D’Souza was right: Obama seems himself as the ultimate anti-colonial warrior, fighting for Islam and against the West, and he sees himself as a messiah figure who doesn’t need to be bothered by petty details (such as having a program or how he will accomplish it). The left, on the other hand, saw him as the perfect vehicle, because his politics are like theirs (the politics of resentment which fuels Marxism) and his approach to the “solution” is like theirs: the imposition of a system that will punish the class enemies and give society into the control of those who will extract revenge.
However, the fundamental goals of Obama and the left differ. Obama wants to punish and destroy the US and the West for what he sees as its slighting of Islam and the Third World; the US left, on the other hand, simply wants to control the US economy and society, for the benefit of the leftist leaders and their chosen groups, and would not gain by completely destroying it, even though their policies would ultimately have this result.
In other words, Obama is a megalomanic sociopath on a personal quest, while they are ideologues on a scorched-earth ideological campaign. Their interests have coincided over the years, and this has enabled both of them to get as far as they have, with Obama being the endlessly plastic vehicle for their aspirations. I think what is happening now is that this alliance is collapsing.
Obama honestly doesn’t care what happens to the US, and in fact he no longer feels he even has to pretend: this is the reason for his constant traveling, appearance of interest solely in sports and black entertainment, and his parties and the high life lived by him and his family. Mentally, he left a long time ago; the job was beyond him but he wasn’t interested in it in the first place. He was interested in the position, but not the job.
The left, on the other hand, thought that he would continue to be useful as the spokesman and vehicle for their project. The problem is that he’s too incompetent even to do that, and they are beginning to realize that he really was never interested in it in the first place. He got what he wanted (power and position) and he realizes that there is now so much resistance to the left’s plan that his leftist sponsors won’t be able to give him anything more in that line. So now he’s already outta there, thinking of his next move.
I wonder what it will be. I’d say something international, because he sees himself as constrained by merely being president of the US, and he also is aware that the adulation is gone, and outside of the black Democrat and Islamic percentage of our population, he really doesn’t have much of a following. Neither of those groups is large, although they are disproportionately influential because of government policies, and they don’t give him the thrill of being worshipped which was obviously such a high for him over the years. So the question is, what’s next for Obama and the left, now that they are going their separate ways?
I agree to a point. O has never held a position more than a couple of years. Always restless to move on. He’s never actually “worked”, he doesn’t think he has to. Is there really a higher office he aspires to? If he has nothing to campaign for all he has left are the parties and golfing and dinners and vacations.
Obama is an affirmative-action putz who is wayyyyyyyyyyy out of his depth.

Were he a man with real beliefs about anything he would not need one. You seen him respond when he has none?
In 2004 the dimocrats learned that a man with too long a history was unelectable. John “I served in Vietnam” Kerry's repeated lies and self made stories proved that point at the ballot box.
So, what did the dimocrats do? Did they review their potential candidates for a better candidate? Nope.
Instead they ran a man with no record. Because he looked good and sounded good, like almost all news anchors, the MSM supported him and look at what we got.
I have to wonder whom the dimocrats will run in 2012 and beyond. Will they get smart and run a truly electable candidate or just swing to the opposite side of their swing?

But.... there are all the leftist organizations out there that facilitated his rise. I think they were amazed when he actually became a competitive candidate and flabbergasted when he beat Hillary.
Emil Jones had served in the Illinois Legislature for three decades. He represented a district on the Chicago South Side not far from Obama's. He became Obama's kingmaker and appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills. "I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen," state Senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. "Barack didn't have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.
"I don't consider it bill jacking," Hendon told me. "But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the 1-yard line and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book."
So how has Obama repaid Jones?
Last June, to prove his commitment to government transparency, Obama released a comprehensive list of his earmark requests for fiscal year 2008. It comprised more than $300 million in pet projects for Illinois, including tens of millions for Jones' Senate district.
Shortly after Jones became Senate president, I remember asking his view on pork-barrel spending.
I'll never forget what he said:

(September 29, 2008) For months now, we’ve been reading and hearing from the Obama campaign that it’s not experience that matters for Barack Obama (whose paper-thin resume includes being a Community Organizer, Chair of the failed Chicago Annenberg Challenge, and running for public office), but rather the excellent judgment that he displays. In light of the continued media frenzy favoring Obama and shielding him from public scrutiny, I decided that it would be timely to revisit that judgment in the form of the people Obama associates with professionally and personally (both past and present). I personally have been able to find few people that are close to the Illinois Senator that I would want anywhere near the Oval Office, but I’ll let you be the judge. I intend this article to be part of a much needed grassroots effort to educate those that only get their news from the Main Stream Media or do not follow politics closely, so feel free to link it, print it, e-mail it, or do whatever you need to do to get the word out (giving proper credit and/or links to Insight Analytical and myself is always appreciated). I think he foresees a paying position in an entity that he nominally heads, one that gives him impeccable cachet to travel, to lecture, to be received by the elite in the capitals of the world, to make money on the speaking circuit....perhaps head of a foundation...or perhaps a non-job similar to our country's own perpetually-travelling minister-without-portfolio, former president, Bill Clinton.
However, more in reality, I believe Obama will make a deal with Hillary to support her presidential bid in return for a place in the sun of his choosing.
Perhaps a roving ambassadorship, Secretary of State, or as an appointee in her administration that will put him in an international spotlight of some kind.
In fact, I think that such a deal with the devil-ette was made a long time ago........which is why we're seeing Bubba bonded with super-glue to Obama at this point in time. The 2012 presidential campaign will begin after the holidays, although for Obama and Hitlery and their inner circle of handlers, it began the day after he was immaculated.
Look for the three way, odd-trio relationship of Obama, Hillary and Bill to continue. The stage is already being set by Obama to insure his own future.....and the Clintons, theirs.

I’ll give him such tripe as “You are the ones you have been waiting for” during the campaign but that isn’t either serious or presidential.
