Secretary Rice gives the greatest, most thorough and intelligent response to the criticisms of the decision to go to war in Iraq that has ever been made. As an added bonus, she also makes Katie Couric look shrill and uninformed.

Had Saddam Hussein remained in power, he and/his sons, they would be capable to taking actions that neither Couric nor Rice speculate on. Rice speaks of a nuclear competition between Iraq and Iran. There is also the possibility of a treaty between the two countries like that between Hitler and Stalin in 1939. Such a thing cannot be ruled out, along with the opposite which is further war between the two.
