Syndicated TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey tore into the American people for lacking "reason," "respect," "civility," and "decency" and "only thinking about themselves" for not supporting Barack Obama. Winfrey made her scathing criticism during an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters.
A survey released this week showed that a majority of the country believes they are worse off after nearly two years of the Obama presidency.
WALTERS: "And today, what would you say to him (Obama)? How do you feel about it all?"
WINFREY: "I feel that it is, first of all why would anybody want that job? To get, because no matter what you do and how uh, much you give of your heart and wisdom and uh, soul and energy, and I think he's, he's really fully there, giving his all. And to be criticized the way he is I think it's unfortunate. I think it's unfortunate when you have a nation of people who don't want to support the president of the United States."
WALTERS: "Do you think he's communicating?"
WINFREY: "I think that he is. You know what I think that what wasn't communicated? I think we don't realize was how close we came to depression. And as soon as we got saved from the brink of that we all forgot what that was, we all forgot. And so I think that he has done a lot and I think that people uh, can't see it because they're only thinking about themselves. The fact that people uh, still are out of jobs, but we're not in breadlines, we have forgotten, we have forgotten how close we came.
"So I think that there needs to be a greater level of respect and a sense of uh, decency and civility and reason. And I think we, we've lost that."

Oprah, the woman who has taken credit for every one of her employees’ ideas and who has made her sizable fortune (which she gets to keep) by exploiting human misery in the name of ratings, once again sounds incoherent.
Now, she voiced no similar concerns during George Bush’s presidency, nor even during Bill Clinton’s stint in the office. But she’s all beat up inside because the full vibrational mode is gone and all she’s left with, after investing so much emotion in the “down with whitey” candidate, is an empty suit who really is trying to ruin the nation. The same hateful nation, by the way, that allowed her to amass such a monumental fortune while rising to the top of the entertainment industry.
Hopefully, she'll take a course in Economics 101 before she does.

He is a fellow Black, so you can’t criticize him. Where was her concerns for “civility” and “respect” when Rev Wright—for a while her pastor also—was calling US officials “war criminals?” I am SO tired of these people.

I'm sure Oprah will enthusiastically support these two sisters when they have the executive power.

Just look at her TV audience that support her, mostly brain dead welfare queen types sitting at home during a time slot where everyone else is working.
Well Oprah, he hasn’t EARNED any “reason,” “respect,” “civility,” or “decency” and “only thinks about himself”.
His agenda is anti-American and doesn’t deserve any support.
How much “reason,” “respect,” “civility,” and “decency” did you afford Bush?
“I won” was Obama’s mantra. So much for “bringing this country together”.
Recall too his racist declaration of making the Republicans “sit at the back of the bus”.
Only thinking about ourselves instead of the empty suit? Go figure.
