I knew you guys hated him, but not until I saw the results of this weekend’s Hot Air mega-poll did I realize how much. Out of 17 presidential candidates named, he finished … 15th, just eight votes ahead of Rick Santorum and 10 votes ahead of, er, Donald Trump. Palin won the poll with 1181 votes and Chris Christie came second with 745. Huckabee’s total take: 32. Dude?
The word on the primaries lately from everyone from Palin to Rove is that competition is wunderbar, that the more candidates we have battling for the nomination, the better served voters are by having more options, etc. Just wondering: Does that logic apply to Huck too? Think carefully before you answer, because if there’s anyone who’s poised to hurt Palin by peeling off social cons, blue-collar voters, and women (yes, really), it’s him.

Mike Huckabee is to the left of even Sam Brownback and John McCain on immigration. He claimed God wants us to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. As Governor of Arkansas he advocated letting illegal aliens vote.
While Huckabee is now lying and saying he is dedicated to fighting illegal immigration, his record is clear.
As Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee passed a law that added major restrictions to the Arakansas Homeschool Rights Act passed by Bill Clinton, making Arkansas one of the most hostile state to homeschoolers outside of the Northeast. Homeschoolers in Arkansas had more rights when Clinton left office than when Huckabee left office.
Mike Huckabee was the keynote speaker at the 2007 NEA national convention!

Since one of the “Deliverance” looking lads escaped serious animal abuse charges because of daddy’s position it’s a fair game pic to post. It’s not the weight issues that is problematic in that picture.
Huckabee is not fit to be the POTUS when he abused his authority to protect his son over torturing and killing an animal.

You can tell that his sons aren’t “right”. It comes out in the pic. The fact that Huckabee abused his position of authority to derail the criminal investigation of his son torturing and killing an animal makes it even worse.
He used poor judgment in making this an official photo which is par for the course in his long history of poor judgment like pardoning violent rapists and killers.
As far as trying to compare this to Churchill or Lincoln’s appearance, puhleeze. They were statesmen not some folksy smarmy preacher. I can’t picture Churchill letting violent rapists and murderers go free.
No one that uses the lack of depth to argue against Palin, has never said what their definition of depth is and why others have it and she doesn't....
For some I think the reason they don't like Palin is because she is not a male....She is far more conservative than any males that have been mentioned so far. Even Newt thinks he is qualified, so does loser McCain, and these males have conservative depth of about 1/2 inch....
Those same people probably thought Dole had depth or McCain was deep. Bush was a great CIC but had no depth in domestic policy any deeper than Old Teddy Kennedy.

Here’s the way I see her “lack of depth”.
Like Sean Hannity, she can recite the rhetoric very well, but can she elaborate more in support of her position?
In other words, she may know the correct answer, but does she know—and can she effectively communicate—EXACTLY WHY it’s the correct answer?
Most interviews I’ve ever seen with her tells me no.
Feel free to call me a liberal if you wish. Believing that my opinion is based on gender, rather than a legitimate concern, is roughly akin to the Liberals’ cry of ‘racism’ at every argument against Obama. It’s a complaint without merit.
If Palin is our nominee (without a serious improvement in her image with moderates), we’ll both be called “Losers” in 2012. Except in my case, I will know the real reason we lost.
