The Pentagon on Tuesday released a long-awaited report intended to advance a key campaign promise made by then-Sen. Obama to the fringe activist groups that supported his presidential aspirations. Now as commander in chief, President Obama has made it clear to military brass that he expects them to embrace the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) agenda. It should come as no surprise that the release of the military's new "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" survey was carefully orchestrated to accomplish this mission.
From the outset, the Pentagon had no interest in eliciting honest responses from the troops about whether the law outlawing homosexual conduct in the ranks should be preserved or repealed. Instead, soldiers, airmen, sailors and Marines were addressed in terms implying that repeal is inevitable. The Obama administration leaked selected results to sympathetic media to create the illusion that the troops have no problem stacking the barracks and submarines with homosexuals. The final report's release is a last-ditch effort to provide Democratic members of Congress the cover they need to ram through the law's repeal in the lame-duck session.
It isn't going to work. A closer examination of the headline result shows that 63 percent of respondents live off-base or in civilian housing and consequently answered that a change in policy might not affect them. Those in combat roles - where unit cohesion and trust are life-and-death concerns - gave a different response. About half with combat experience said a change would have a negative or very negative impact in the field or at sea...

Gates is despicable. I saw him making the comment that “the American people have spoken.” Grinning like a fool. I have no respect for that man.
They are bureaucrats doing their masters bidding. They want to use the Armed Forces for social engineering. That is not why it’s there.
Gates and Mullen are to blame for going along with Obama and his thugs on this program of deceit. They are both despicable for not resisting and resigning if that was the only way to resist.

So, because we know the CIC does not really care about the gay lobby, and this is the only supporting action he has taken for them, then the reason must be the destruction of the greatest military on earth. Agreed?
I understand and agree though it’s so disappointing, especially now that we’ve had an all volunteer military for years. I’m sure that’s one of the reasons Zer0 and his bunch want this, to degrade our fine military.

Very sad indeed. My son went into the military under Reagan, reenlisted and then left once Clinton got into gear and tried to make the military into a bastion of affirmative action and stupid progressivism. In those days, btw, the favored affirmative action group was females (of any color).
My son said that the people who didn’t leave under Clinton (or who joined under Clinton) were essentially either those who agreed with this stuff or didn’t even want to think about it, or those who had a lot of years and didn’t want to surrender their pensions.
The latter group is gone, but I suspect that there are many from the Clinton era who are now in command positions and are probably just fine with this.
Gates highlighted the recommendations of the report putting “a strong emphasis on education, training and leader development,” with “a solid road map for a successful full implementation of repeal, assuming that the military is given sufficient time and preparation to get the job done right.”
The "EDUCATION" part is going to be the part that will be amazing! The soldier will now be "educated" in the "benefits" of being a homo. If a soldier has any moral beliefs relating to homosexuality he will be warned to not speak them so as not to "offend" the Rump Rangers.
Bottom line: The Rump Rangers "morality" will override everyone elses moral code in the name of political correctness.

So what’s the problem? Give them their own unit and put them on the front lines. Bring back the draft for gays and lesbians.
Political correctness may very well destroy our great nation, it’s gotten a foothold that will be extremely hard to eliminate.
