Sarah Palin: 'We've got to stand with our North Korean allies' (Liberals Are Loving It)

Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house – that was Tina Fey – but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".

A transcript of the radio show reads:

Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?

Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies – we're bound to by treaty....

Interviewer: South Korean.

Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

There should be no public school system. That is government running things which is socialism.Government/socialism doesn’t work.

Well, it worked for many years, locally funded. But then the fed stepped into the arena.

I am a product of public education. Not all of us had parents who could afford to send us to private schools.

But, in my time, the fed was not involved in the process. Local taxes footed the entire bill. There was no federal funding, nor was there federal mandates, where funding could be withheld for failure to comply with federal regulations.

All that said, in all likelihood, it's likely too late to reverse the course. There simply may be no hope to return to a time when schools are solely locally funded. Since the federal socialistic mandate has corrupted the local educational process to a point, where the odds of reversal, remains highly improbable.

What to do? Well, unless one is a total govt dependent, relying solely on govt aid, like many who vote for Obama find themselves, with free education including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then, those parents working to pay for them too, well, it takes two parents working to provide the freeloaders, along with the basic essentials for their own family. So this negates the prospect for them to home school. Private school? Forget about it! So these families are left with federal public schools. Where children are taught that two mommies or two daddies is perfectly "acceptable."

First, get the fed out of education. Tell the fed to kiss off. Tell the fed to take their funds, and shove them, where the sun don't shine.

But, to accomplish this, it will take something most Americans today don't have the balls to pursue. So we'll just have to scratch that one off the list.

When all else fails, the American way today, is to submit to federal tyranny.

Go ahead Nappie, put me on the list. I am another one who will not submit.

“Doesn’t matter why she quit. The reality is she quit in her first term as governor. What’s she going to do against a partisan opposition Congress?”

A “partisan opposition Congress” can’t sue her five times a week over nothing and force her to spend more money than she has or will ever have on legal defenses of said lawsuits over nothing. There is no comparison.

Only a troll would post such a thing if they understood the difference.

Only a moron would not be able to see the difference.

Which are you?

Palin has every right to run.

Yep.

And stop being so obsessed with Romney.

*I'M* not obsessed with Romney. Most of the PDS troll brigade happen to be Mitt-bots.

The Mitt cult in 2008 was just as bad here as the Palin cult is today.

The Mitt cult helped to sabotage Palin's campaign in 2008, and they haven't quit.

There is no Palin cult, just conservatives who see someone running for national office who has a clue, loves the country, and has record of cutting spending and getting rid of corruption.

Cheers!

I heard this show. It was just a quick miss-speak. She caught herself right away. It’s nothing.

Completely agree. For Pete's sake, give Sarah a break. How many thousand miss-speaks has Obama had?

Was it a disaster when Obama claimed there were 57 states?

Is this a rhetorical question? Of course not. The liberal MSM idolized Obama. But this is Sarah Palin. She is shark bait. The liberal MSM will have a feeding frenzy. Mr. Tingles will be frothing at the mouth. Arianna Huffington will be having multiple organisms.

“The Mitt cult helped to sabotage Palin’s campaign in 2008, and they haven’t quit.”

The last thing Romney wants is a highly educated conservative to step in the game. That’s what I want to see. I find it hard to believe that the only viable candidates are Palin and all of the other 2008 retreads.

Education is overrated for the Presidency.

Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama, were all Ivy Leaguers.

Nice try, though.

Cheers!

“Glad to see you have about as much influence on Freepers as you do your own parents. Zero.”

I’m not interested in “influencing” FReepers, just letting them know that just because there are a bunch of Republican male claudes out there wanting to be President, doesn’t mean that there aren’t other males that might be pretty darn good...and I am PERFECTLY HAPPY with the discussion tonight.

“Where do they watch Dan Rather?

I guess METAPHOR is not in your vocabulary. Here’s some help:

No one else on this thread had trouble understanding what I meant. I guess public schools do have their limits.

“Education is overrated for the Presidency.”

O’reilly: Let me be very bold and fresh again. Do you believe that you are smart enough, incisive enough, intellectual enough to handle the most powerful job in the world?

Palin: “I believe that I am because I have common sense, and I have, I believe, the values that are reflective of so many other American values. And I believe that what Americans are seeking is not the elitism, the the kind of spineless... a spinelessness that perhaps is made up for that with some kind of elite Ivy League education and a fat resume that’s based on anything but hard work and private sector, free enterprise principles. Americans could be seeking something like that in positive change in their leadership. I’m not saying that has to be me.”

“With this statement you are implying that Palin actually thought that North Korea is our ally, and that she did not in fact misspeak.”

I think that I was MORE THAN CLEAR that if anyone on our side running for President does not have the two Koreas INGRAINED into their brains by now...I worry about them.

That simple...since you say that in a debate, EVEN IF MISSPEAK, it is GAME OVER and another 4 years for Obama.

People make mistakes and misspeak...but there is VERY LITTLE room for that if you are a Republican running for the top office.

MACACA ANYONE?

Unless you think we are South Korea, and North Korea is our ally, she was probably referring to the Mutual Defense Treaty which binds the United States to stand with our South Korean allies. But I'm sure you knew that. "There was no treaty" was probably just a typo, right?

Again you are intentionally misrepresenting the facts.

I don’t believe you are so stupid that you think Palin didn’t know the difference between North and South Korea.

You are misrepresenting reality to smear Palin.

What I don’t get is why....

PDS?

Rino?

Romneybot?

??????

Maybe she's on to something... Ever been to S. Korea? I was more liked in China!

No, I'm not taking N. Korea's side, but we've spent tons of blood and treasure defending the South for 60 plus years and I know several business people/English teachers that get nothing but hate for the US when they must travel to S. Korea. It's not worth WW III IMHO

And Palin just misspoke.
