In an interview this morning on Glenn Becks radio show, Bobby Jindal said that at a meeting with the President during the gulf oil spill, that he and the President of Plaquemines Parish were told specifically by Obama not to go on TV and criticize him. Jindal says that it was clear Obama was frustrated with the level of criticism he was getting and goes on to accuse Obama of caring more about perception and politics than actually cutting through the red tape and getting things done.

“Gee, I wonder how much additional media coverage Kathleen Blanco, Mary Landrieu and Ray Nagin would have gotten if they had been told the same by the Bush administration.”
There’s a difference. Ray Nagin was black, and his city was hit by a hurricane, flood, and murder and mayhem. So he gets to call Bush, who’s white, a racist, and rake him over the coals. Jindal is white, and his state was hurt by a massive oil spill. So if he rakes Obama, who is black, over the coals, he’s a racist. I’m glad I cleared this up for you, and hope that you now see that there is no double standard./sarc

I’m sure Jindal had his hands full trying to cope with the situation.

I must have been playing hooky that day. I don’t remember ever learning that the American President can tell US citizens what they can and can’t say- particularly US citizens who also happen to be Governors.

Jindal is a man of honor. A good man indeed.

Obama has also done absolutely terrible on Haiti. Sure it is not our country but billions were raised for the country and Obama asked Bush and Clinton to raise money. What is going on there and the amount of relief getting to those people is a travesty beyond belief. Where is the money and why hasn't it been used to help these people? Even medicine that is stocked piled there won't be allowed to get out to it's people. Obama as head of the free world and as the most powerful man this hemisphere is responsible to make sure the money goes to helping these poor, retched people!!!

Jindal did complain a lot to the media
Someone needs to speak to Jindal - in this day and age, he relies on the media? Did he actually think they would listen to his complaints about their boy? WOW!

Haven’t read the thread yet, but I hope this is the interview where Jindal’s Freudian slip’s up and he calls Barack Hussein a ‘she’ (still waiting for him to come out of the closet)

Jindal’s assessment is right on the money. In fact, considering the cavalier attitude Obama showed the concerns of those Louisianans dependent on the the fishing, oil and gas field industries, IMO he’s actually being KIND.

Jindal went publically on the record several times, ranting against Obama’s handling of the Deepwater Horizon. You can find them on YouTube. Then the blackout came. Now where did that come from, I wonder?

Yes, he is. The effects on the seafood industry alone have been devastating. I am happy I left when I did, but it hurts to see my family and friends suffering through yet another disaster.

Too bad Jindal didnt state this at the time. Its too little, too late now. Republicans never seize an opportunity. Agree. When Zero came down off the plane and lectured Jundal about food stamps, Jindal should have gestured wildly and gave the Prez a good tongue lashing, like--what the hell are you worried about food stamps, the Gulf is filling up with oil, numbnuts!
And, instead of waiting and waiting and waiting for Fed permission to build the sand berm, just do it! It's your state, Bobby! Zero did not give a crap about LA. What is Zero going to do about it? Sorry, talking now means nothing. Nice guy, but not a great leader.
