“Our transportation security officers work on the front lines to protect the nation from a terrorist attack ...”
I guess now all TSA agents will be called “Heros” too. I’m sick of the overuse of that word. I’ve been to the front lines and it ain’t the local airport.

How did we manage to survive for eight years without all this invasive crap? Since terrorists are now putting bombs in UPS packages, how does this groping of three year olds make anyone safer?
And God forbid they should grope a muslim.

Actually, that pretty much reflects the demographic of ALL federal employees, and yes, it does “prove” discrimination. In my experience, most TSA mouth-breathers are black females. . .why is that?
The question needs to be asked: what person with a shred of self-respect and dignity would want that job. . .than the petty tyrant.

How does sporting an rfid prevent you from bringing a bomb onboard? Of course the muzzies will be able to opt out of being chipped, no doubt. So it accomplishes nothing toward air safety

Sure they are. The TSA is a federal agency. They're not law enforcement officers, but they are federal officers.

If you said TSA employees were federal employees you would be correct. And merely being employed by a federal agency does not make them "officers."
Moreover, referring to them as “officers” in the context of this situation/thread reflects you considered them law enforcement officers, which they are not. To expand further, if you are referring to them as “officers” in the context of serving as an officer in a corporation or agency, you are mistaken, they are neither.
They are simply federal employees. Nothing more. Nothing less (and it is hard to imagine anything less than being a TSA crotch-groper and bum-sniffer).

You'll notice I specifically headed off this accusation before it was made, by making it clear in my previous post that TSOs are not law enforcement officers.

Ha! Okay. The only point I was trying to make is that one could be charged with assaulting a federal officer/employee for assault a Transportation Safety Officer. I didn't mean to get into a discussion of whether or not a non-LEO federal agent can be called an "officer" or not. But I follow you.

Yup, hit a federale, it's a federal crime ~ whole big bunch of 'em in fact. So, you want to make every ounce count if you take that route.
Frankly, I prefer doing other things ~ mostly ones where I'm not likely to get caught but will cause someone great emotional distress (or something like that).
