The Republican “establishment” supported Miller’s campaign AND paid for his lawyers.

How did he blow it? Because he didn’t enlist the fraud method? Because he didn’t have federal contractors in federal buildings telling voters that he’s the best for Alaska because all the pork he can bring them? Because he didn’t have a murk judge to rule in his favor?

I guess he blew the primary, also. Murk really won it.

..........This should have been comfortable win.

Yes, in a world without fraud.

Does Gov. Parnell have to certify the election results? What if he refused to do so and instead certified Miller as the official winner?

The Governor has no constitutional authority in this matter. The suggestion is untenable anyway because the Governor of one party could always not "certify" a Senator of another.

“How did he blow it”

For starters:
“We’ve drawn a line in the sand. You can ask me about background, you can ask me about personal issues — I’m not going to answer,” Miller said.
Sorry Joe, if you want to run for public office, the public has a right to know your background.

I believe he was in a position to win, inspite of the fraud by murky’s camp. He basically got complacent, something that was evident during the campaign. Further he did some weird stuff in the last few weeks of the campaign (as I ve mentioned before) that damaged his reputation a bit. And that was all it took, especially considering it was a pretty close election.

” Democrats probably ditched their guy and voted for Lisa. ..”

Just before the election, a female Democrat consultant , along with a Republican counterpart ,
was on some cable show discussing the Alaska Senatorial race.
This woman gushed and gushed and glowed about Murkowski
with not even a mention
about the Democrat nominee, McAdams.
The host had to remind the consultant that her party
also had a nominee running for Senate and she stumbled around faintly praising the forgotten Democrat.
It was obvious that the Democrats and the unions wanted Murkowski more than they wanted their own Democrat nominee.

Well, how much did they know about Lisa’s background?

How much did they know about barry’s background and more than likely, they voted for him, also.

Let’s put it this way - the voters, again, were swayed by the MSM. They demand so much from the conservative to cast doubt in the minds of voters - and they swallowed the deception easily. My sympathy goes to the Alaskans who can see deception before it turns the corner. But the hungry will eat anything put before them.

This makes me sick. It makes my head want to explode. How could Alaskans re-elect this woman?

Thanks Alaska. Knew we could count on you to take a dump on us.

Don't blame the Alaskan voters. Joe Miller won the primary, and liar lisa broke HER WORD (we all know what that is worth) to back the winner, before she lost. Rules and laws were bent to favor liar lisa, and the media with a full court press against Joe....this was foregone. Everything would be, as was, done to make sure that liar lisa won.

The will of the people has spoken! Alaska is a different sort of state and they spoke in a different way.

They didn't want her in the primary because either the 'rat or the rino winning in the end was the same.

But when Joe won the primary, they had to shift gears with a vote for the rino rat.

There is no denying - rino's are a curse on America.

Tea Party only believes in the “will of the people” when their candidate wins. Otherwise, there must be fraud or a conspiracy afoot or something...

Maybe Sarah picked the wrong person to mess with this time.

Do you really, honestly, truly believe that Joe Miller could become a Senator you would be proud of?

The same Joe Miller who spoke admiringly of how EAST GERMANY enforced their border??!!!

Did she win with a significant number of write-ins which did not spell her name correctly or even close but were given to her under the guise “voter intent”?

This has not been called in Alaska...AP called it but not election officials in Alaska and Joe Miller has NOT conceded either.

The handcuffing incident was incredibly goon-ish. And here is another example of Miller's nefarious past:

Judge with 'negative opinion' of Miller bows out of write-in case

The federal judge originally assigned to hear Joe Miller's lawsuit to challenge how write-in ballots are counted took himself off the case Wednesday because of the "negative opinion" he held of Miller.

U.S. District Judge John Sedwick said Miller left the court system in a lurch in 2004 when he called Sedwick at 4:20 p.m. to tell him he was quitting that day as a part-time federal magistrate judge in Fairbanks.

Reminds me of another quitter....
