DETROIT -- Michigan high school teacher Jay McDowell says he didn't like where the discussion was going after a student told his classmates he didn't "accept gays."
So McDowell kicked the boy out of class for a day.
In return, the teacher was suspended for a day without pay for violating the student's free speech rights.

McDowell has filed a complaint against the district over the discipline he received, but said Monday he primarily wants to "force the school to look at itself."
"I want to force adults to look at what situation we've created," he said. "I would really like us to be more aggressive in our policing of harassing and bullying."
I agree with him. If we were more agressive in harassing and bullying these adult faggots they would be less likely to be perverting our children.
The third law of homosexuality:
Any exposure of children to homosexuality is child abuse
Pittsburgh did their best to sanitize the article. Here’s more, including “teachable moment” and a 2nd student who asked to be suspended for the same reason....

I’m glad to see our kids are rebelling against the indoctrination in our schools. It gives me some hope for the future.
Makes me wonder why a male teacher forcing a female student to remove her belt buckle is not considered harassment.

I agree, why was this under discussion? That is the point that is being missed here. I really don’t think it’s appropriate, it is something that is the purview of the home and family.
ping for later
“Teach” is also president of the Local. Already back to his job with a grievance filed. Just another opportunity for the slimemedia to trot out their pet meme that gay is good and anybody that says otherwise is a n intolerant hater. Time to remove these morons from teaching our youth and crush the unions. We better or we are fighting an uphill battle.
So the 14 year old who spoke at the school board meeting apparently knew he was gay at 9? Maybe he was just taking “girls have cooties” too seriously.
Several years ago I remember reading a comment from a wise FReeper:
“There is only one reason adults feel the need to teach children about homosexuality.”
It was true then, it’s true now and it’ll be true tomorrow.
Good question. Many assignments in high schools focus on the students’ feelings about ‘relevant’ social issues. Facts, figures, scientific laws, understanding economics, and learning how to write a complete sentence are on the backburner.
Sounds like the class is a little out of control. I'm only an occaisonal sub, but, I find that very often the lil' darlings are eager to drive the class conversation away from whatever we are supposed to be discussing. (Oh, like I've never tried that)
I always publicly commend their ingenuity, but steer the discussion back to the topic at hand.
Small wonder I remain a substitute. I should be wasting more instructional time... Who knew?
Another insight into the Bizarro world of liberalism. The brave students who should be hailed as heros need counseling. The gay boy in total error as to his God given gender and purpose is the hero and medias poster boy. Ship of fools.
Why is this even being discussed in school?
I agree. The adults in schools should stop bullying the inmates students over their political, religious, and social opinions. Just teach your freepin' subject, collect your salary, and get out of their lives.
Tolerance/Diversity = Fascism
Gays have been getting in our face and we're getting sick of it. Do your thing and leave us alone.
